Very nice Steve. After picking up the 2007 LE brush, I have also become a fan of these brushes. I am psyched to have ordered the horn brush too!
Very nice Steve! Here's my new additions, need to take a new group shot I feel some Simpson purchases will be forthcoming Rooney Heritage Stubby 2 Rooney 3/1 in Super Kimson / Shavemac 22mm knot - 50mm Pure loft with Genuine Horn Kimson / Shavemac 23mm knot - 50mm Silvertip loft Genuine Horn
Pics of your brushes in the Red Light District, Will? Where's Jeff (aka VetsJetsNGuns)? That looks like his kind of picture. :happy097
I only have the two, a Crabtree and Evelyn silvertip (are they made by Jagger?) and a Mason Pearson best badger. The C&E is very soft and works well with creams. The Mason Pearson is a bit more wirey and is great for building lather from soaps. It's also, I gather from another thread, a bit of a rarity "in the wild". James.
Hi Lynn, Yes it is a pretty dense brush, I do like it very much...the loft could be a little shorter...but other that that it's great... Very dense, one of the densest brushes I have........great backbone and very soft luxurious tips I whipped up a great lather the other night with some Castle Forbes Lime cream :happy005 Neale Edit: it's funny but that Rooney 3/1 pictured next to the Stubby 2 is probably the densest brush I own.. ...it's some kind of overstuffed mutant size 1......another great brush that is a great face latherer
Neale, same experience here with the Heritage Stubby -- incredibly dense but soft (it could probably stand to shed a few, but I shouldn't say anything for fear of jinxing it...). Your mutant 3/1 looks great; definitely a keeper.
Here's my had turned zebra wood brush from Rodd. It's the only one I use... Ok, I only three... Brush in hand W/ Merkur Vision and CVS boar post-bloom front Top W/ Progress There are even more pics on my profile page.
To the best of my knowledge EJ makes the entire C&E line (not just the less expensive ones). Anyone know better?
