Cade gets a big "meh" from me.

There is much better for less.

The Cade AS balm on the other hand is magnificent.

Never tried the soap. What specifically did you not like about it? Poor performance? Difficult to lather? Offensive scent? etc...

The bowl it comes in (polished aluminium) perfectly frames my thoughts on the soap, that it is all fur coat and no knickers.

Metal shaving bowls of the heft of the Cade soap have no place in a modern tiled bathroom. Its heavy, slippery, and likely to break itself and the tiled floor should you drop it. Its also useless for bowl lathering as the top of the soap is flush with the top of the bowl.

As for the soap, scent is very mild. Almost non existant. Not a bad thing in itself but its scent isn't a major selling point of it.

Performance is ok. Not great not rubbish. It is like a posh Palmolive tbh.

I have a Molton Brown soap which is its twin in looks, price and bowl but is an order of magnitude better in every aspect.

Its a meh soap with a premium price tag. Save your money and get something better. (Not difficult).
