I hope you like it, but I wouldn't advise on using the Rimei blade provided with the razor...I tired it once and it was like shaving with a piece of wood...dull and scratchy
Discovered that in a "trial run" this morning. Two strokes in, and that blade is going in the trash. BTW, I made a nice homemade "blade bank" out of a metal Twining's English Breakfast Tea tin. This blade is my first contribution to the "bank."
Ok, an update: tried the RiMei with a 7 O'clock Yellow blade and despite being careful and going slowly, it was not good. Three strokes (one above my sideburns and two on my cheeks) left tiny nicks/weepers and felt rough. Immediately went back to my vintage Gillette SS Flare Tip, and felt like singing "Nothing Compares 2 U" in the bathroom. So much better than the RiMei. Guess the RiMei will go in the trash. Ah well, less than $3. It was worth a shot. So.... While YMMV, I'd say, based on my admittedly unscientific study, stay away from the RiMei, regardless of blade choice. Unless you like bleeding.
Get what you pay for. Cheap vintage Gillettes are being sold all the time on multiple forums and eBay. Those old razors have yet to be outdone in terms of longevity and function.
Sorry to hear that, I love mine, a bit on the mild side, but as an everyday shaver it works great for me. And i recomend it to people as a starting razor as it has never nicked me no matter how fast i shave or how much pressure I apply. But YMMV, especially with a Chinese razor with probably next to nothing QC.
The blade aligns perfectly in that Chinese razor. Try a decent blade. The one, which came with the razor is not great at all.
