I did get a new razor. The Merkur 11c. I know it is not 3 piece but I liked the price and the weight. It did perform very well for me yesterday on its maiden voyage. I used the Merkur blade that came with it. A very comfortable shave, no nicks. I am pleased. Thanks to all that gave me input. I will keep it all on file as I know there will be another razor or two in my future.
Since your razor collection will most likely grow one day (depending on how much time you spend on TSD..), why not consider a nice Edwin Jagger, or a Mühle for the future? They are great razors and look stunning as well. The chrome finsih on the EJs in particular seems to be getting great reviews. And both shave oh so well...
