It’s a G-89, you know like muhle r89, or Edwin Jagger de89 , or my Jack Black de. All exactly alike. Not bad mind you, but a muhle is by any other name, is still a muhle.
I heard about this new Gillette DE being sold in Walgreens; I’ll check my local Walgreens to see if they have it.
So Gillette is making a DE razor. Big deal. They were doing that in 1903 already. When P&G/Gillette starts mass producing a basic user grade straight razor for a working man's price, THEN they will have my attention.
They got my attention with the toxic masculinity commercials. Enough so that they will not get any more of my money. I have a box of vintage Gillettes from when they actually made razors
I happen to hold the position that this is a good thing. Putting aside their advertising campaign, attaching the Gillette brand to a traditional DE razor is, imo, a step in the right direction.
I agree And would be stoked, if they actually made it. Rebranding just seems like babe Ruth calling for a pinch hitter, like Elton John asking for piano lessons, like Cindy Crawford getting beauty tips.
I have between 8 and 12 Gillette razors actually made by Gillette. I don't by things that were made in USA or Europe now made in China . You get political you lose my business
