Yes I saw that. I want to order some but I think I have an ample supply of VDH, Stirling, and Vander-Williams to last a few months.
LASS is high on my to-buy list. 20% discount might get me off the fence. Though I have already purchased way more than needful the past couple months.
Woody Lavender on the way! "Hello, my name is Jerald, and I am a shavaholic." Why, oh why do I read these reviews? It's not like I don't have enough product to last several years already! But, somewhere out there there may be the holy grail! Must try EVERYTHING just in case!
John from LASS responded to my e-mail. He confirmed that he has a new printer, waterproof labels, and larger jars in the wings. In the meantime, his 20% off promotion should get a few folks off the fence. This is an excellent line of soaps!
I was back with the LASS Woody Lavender again. I goofed today and loaded my brush for 30 seconds while my thoughts wandered a bit. That was waaaaaaaay too long. I had enough lather for 5+ passes. This has become a permanent "Top Five" for me.
I received Woody Lavender and "Anise Fougere" a couple days ago. Anise Fougere is a batch of their regular Fougere that was made wrong so anise is more forward than it ought to be, they're selling it cheap. Used the Woody Lavender; the scent is very pleasant and performance is good but not as superlative as Tre Citta, which has become my favorite soap, even beating out my tallow favorites. But that's after one use, I may feel differently after we get to know each other better.
L.A. Shaving Company makes high performance save soaps. It'll whip quickly into a voluminous, slick and creamy lather. Santa Monica Bay Rum is one of my favorite bay rums. Topanga Fougere' and Woody Lavender are also very good.
I did the same thing Bob did the other morning with Topanga Fougere. Daydreamed for a sec while loading, and ended up with so much lather it was almost hard to keep it all in the bowl! I could have shaved for a week.
