    Good color. Coming along nicely.

Looks good. I like the stain color. In the picture above with the green/black bowl, what is the object inside the razor storage hole? Did you line the hole with something? Please let us see the final product with the brush holder.

    Thanks!!!

That's a copper tube with a cap on one end. I've actually plastidipped the end of the tube with the cap to seal it and then used a small rubber gasket around the top, also plastidipped to hold the gasket in place, to keep water out of the hole and protect the razor from scratching on the tube as I take it in and out.

    Thanks for the update......

I think I will give this style of shave stand a try. May I use your design or one similar?

    Thanks again

Absolutely! I would love to see pictures of what you create!

Also, I misspoke: the tube is brass, not copper.

Here is a picture (post stain, but pre-poly) that shows the brass tubing with the gasket after plastidipping to give an idea of the way the top will look when it's done image.jpg

Joelio...nice job. Did you chisel the base for the upright stand to fit? Looks neat. Now for your next project??????

That's exactly what I did! The upright portion was notched on the sides and the base had a hole cut out for it to fit. I used a 2 1/8" keyhole saw to cut the slot for the bowl and the drain hole (using a chisel to level the base of the bowl slot). The razor hole was a 3/4" paddle bit.
