Mama Bear, what is the current status on those wooden bowls you were looking into a month or so ago? Are you still working on them or have they kinda fallen through?
I am still waiting, I have been told the bowl company was still working on the brand for the lid. I am waiting....... and chewing my nails.
i have one of those wood bowls enroute to me...should have it tuesday. think im going to shred some LaToja into it
I just received one of Mamma Bears wood bowls and some Drakkar type soap. Beautiful dark wood and the soap lathers great, smells manly and clean. Great product that provided me a comfortable shave. I will order from her again for sure
A couple of shave porn pics for you guys. Nice lather worked up with a super badger brush and mamma bear soap. The lather was worked up in about 1 min in a glass bowl then transferred to the lid of the mamma bear bowl for the photo.
Beautiful!!!! I am curious about this soap too...seems to be a very nice soap. Comparable with Mike's soaps? Or better?
Thats a purdy bowl...what kind of wood is that? Mango? Acacia? Where can I get such a beautyful receptacle?
I haven't yet tried many soaps just an artisan Shea butter/ olive/coconut oil one which doesn't lather very well but feels slick and leaves my face very soft and moisturizer and VDH deluxe.this mamma bear soap in My humble opinion is perfect for me. Lathers great and performs great
Thank you for your answer. I just have some samples of the Mike´s soaps and just tested "Pine & Cedarwood" which smells really great. Imagine if you get up early in the morning, you´re tired and you open your puck with that soap...and a great smell comes to your nose which makes you really happy. It smells just like the name.Fantastic!!! I heared that the Mama Bear soaps are different from soap to soap...some lather more than other ones, some have a better skin feel...can someone confirm this?!
It does...and if it is, I REALLY want one. Acacia is the species of wood that Koa wood (native to Hawaii only) comes from. I doubt the bowl is made from Hawaiian Koa, because that would mean that little bowl would cost about $300. So I'll settle for "just" Acacia
i have half a dozen wooden soap bowls....what i like about this mama bear bowl is the lid...it fits OVER the bowl...my other wooden bowls have an inner section on the lid that fits deep into the bowl....that makes filling the bowl to the rim difficult since the lid cant push down onto the soap. A-plus to the mama bear bowl.
