I am with you, if only for moral support. Thise handles work really well if you have a precise and light touch. Big Thanks to Adam @Drygulch for setting up March Madness! I got near bbs with nothing but Barbasol foam and a Kai blade.

Another great 2 pass near BBS shave this morning. Now that I have Mystic Water dialed in, it was easy to lather into a very slick protective lather. The soap is slick enough that minor touch ups can be done with just the residual slickness. Finished up with a splash of Fine L'Orange. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

A very nice one pass shave this morning. It was a long night, so I didn't put too much effort into the shave, but I got at least a SAS. I used up the last of the Iced Sub-zero this morning, so I will move back to a rotation of soaps. Have a great Wednesday.

    March focus shave 21

    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: Personna lab blue
    Razor: Superspeed
Brush: Satin Tip 'The Purest' synthetic
    Lather: Arko Cool cream
Post: Witch hazel splash, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

    Cold Water.jpg

I enjoyed this morning's shave! The Arko Cool bowl lathered into tons of slick, protective lather. The scent is reminiscent of Irish Spring soap. One full pass plus jaw and neck touch-up for a pretty close shave. I'm enjoying the Superspeed (from @gorgo2 as part of the pass-around box) and the various soaps and creams I'm getting to try.

For a future focus I might work on hand switching while shaving. I see that @ob1page is incorporating that. It would be interesting to see if it helped or made any difference. I may try it down the line at some point. There are so many things to work on!

All in all a nice shave with no dramatic nicks, weepers, or irritation. I hope you all have a great Wednesday!

    Last nights shave.

    CJB
    Kai Mild (6)
    Kai Regular(1)
    Route 66 Black Pearl
    WD 20mm Synthetic
    Pinaud Bay Rum

These blades don't have much of a decline. Last shave was really nice but this shave it dragged and pulled. I did the First pass N/S with the Kai mild then changed it out before the 2nd pass to the Kai regular. Then it got interesting. I started shaving my 2nd pass ears to center since I didn't get a really good productive pass the first time. No cuts but I did have a few weepers. Relather and time for ATG. At the base of my neck is a crease. This crease never flattens out completely no matter how I try stretching it. Most razor/blade combos go over it just fine, The Regular Kai did not. It caught and cut a tiny sliver of skin off. Alum stopped it bleeding and this morning I can't tell where it was. Luckily, the blade was S sharp that there was N pain until the alum and the aftershave. Both set me on fire. I expect that moving up the sharpness scale is helping me avoid mutilation and feature dismemberment. A day or 2 of rough shaves should be all I have before I learn the differences of each blade.

To the touch I was a good DFS but counting the blood and irritation puts it much lower.

Hi all finally back from London. When I work away it's safe to safe to say I'm out of contact. That being said I've done my share so I'm not going away for a while now, meaning I can get focused again. I'm on for an early dart today so to celebrate I am going to revisit the dreaded GSB, this shave will be its last chance!

Wonderful shave. The BB razor is automatic. I really enjoy using it, great balance and weight. Retro Spice does everything I want a soap to do and some! All my soaps going forward will need to meet Route 66 quality. I love the Retro Spice balm! I'll be shaving my head later today with the same software.
