Thanks very much Clint. Hopefully the weather will change soon and it will be easier to get better pictures.
I guess if I can handle a CT named after a unicorn stripper, a strawberry cream razor doesn't seem like too much of a threat.
My learning curve followed a similar pattern successful shaves with intermittent screw ups. You doing better than I was 28 shaves in. Persistence is the key.
Let me see, hmmmm. If you bought that new, is the salesman still laughing? Did the wife of the store owner exclaim,' it is true that a sucker is born every day!'? Did you just get some head trauma? We are concerned with your health and safety. Finally, this is right up there with teaching the wife to shoot just before she asks for a divorce! Dude, what were you thinking?????? I've got the deed to the Brooklyn Bridge to sell you next!! LOL. Good luck with that. We will be looking forward to your den sale after your wife lops your head off with that razor for bad judgment. No jury will convict her It was great knowing you. You must understand that you must have a set of brass ones to even think about pulling that off. Me, MY WIFE is Sicilian and I would not even survive the thought. Then again she might need a shave All joking aside, it is cool to share hobbies with one's wife. Mine enjoys r/c planes and wants to do a classic car restoration. Enjoy the razor and best of luck pulling her in
Actually, When I looked at it in the listing, I thought it looked more red than what it is. It is pretty severely pink. I like it though. It looks pretty good up close. Now go tease somebody with a Chubby 2 or a Paladin in Strawberry Swirl.
I probably only have an ounce or so of the soap and a handful of shaves worth of the aftershave left. I don't know if I will replace any of it. I like it a lot, but my wife does NOT. I might buy a bottle of the AS just because it is my favorite "sit around the house and bask in it" scent.
This is probably my favorite soap/AS, and luckily my wife likes it too. I get the bath soap as well, and she is always happy when it comes up in the rotation.
So tonight was another shave, and maybe the last for the Gillette Nacet blade. But not a huge loss, as I recently got an influx of fine Russian steel (though how fine the jury is still out). The TSD Gunsmoke lathered well, but really no scent to it. And the badger scent on the brush is fading, so no complaints there. One cut on my first pass (WTG), a couple on the second (XTG), and one when I was touching up. Overall a pretty good shave though. The alum only burned under the jaw, but considering this is where I make repeated passes it is to be expected. Fairly calm everywhere else. So I'm happy.
