Yup. Gonna use the same exact setup under more ideal circumstances. I have high hopes. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
It's been mostly good shaves lately and the issues were mine. I know where I erred, so I am confident that tomorrow will boast a much better result. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
My first SE shave was with the Bunny however once I had to send it along (after I dried my tears) I used vintage. Started with a Type G then a 1912 then it expanded from there. The Supply Provision Custom though has ended my love affair with vintage
The Supply was it for me too. I think safety razors in general actually. I have the General, and might upgrade to the brass one, but that is really just a might. I have been shaving pretty religiously with Kai, Irving barber and Feather shavettes. It is definitely my most favorite way to shave.
The coolest part is that every razor I use at all now takes a Feather Pro blade. It is simple. I am smooth.
You're set then. If you can handle SE, it's really a small leap. After about thirty shaves it will be pretty good.
I have a little Fiskars snips that works really well. I took a used Chick blade and blunted the hell out of it so I can handle it easily. Then I flush the ends up on the two blades, mark it with a mechanical pencil and snip it off. The snips work great. It is pretty brittle metal. The blade stops on the Supply cover the corners of the blade, so you don't even have to round the rough one off. It gives that razor a pretty good extra kick.
The glasses aren't an all bad idea. The short pieces really fly, especially the tiny little piece when I have nipped the corner to round it off.
Especially if one is holding the snips and a beer simultaneously, losing the ability to cover one's eyes properly. Eyes closed Dremel is a related Kung Fu style, and much like alligator wrestling, the only extant practitioners all happen to be World Class.
In all seriousness, digging a chunk of razor blade out of flesh would be annoying and possibly painful. Eye impact could be catastrophic and life changing. I know you know how to pull that off safely, but some readers may may unaware of how light gauge sheet metal can react to a cut like that. If no goggles, an option is to grasp the blade in the snips firmly, then cover with a cloth before cutting through.
After your first alligator wrestling attempt, you are either an expert or your friends will forever call you lefty or stump, depending on which arm you used to attempt the headlock.
Day 2 Filarmonica 13, Tabac and Simpsons Chubby 2 Today the brush was very stubborn about letting go of the lather. I am not sure what went wrong today, I think I had too little time in-between shaves and the last shave was super close.... so that makes it tough to comeback with another epic shave in less than 24 hours. I had some irritation and one weeper, especially on the jaw line. Just DFS today too. This is a thin blade and thin blades can give me trouble ATG and some XTG where my whiskers are really tough. It was weird because the edge felt very smooth and sharp. Irritation A- Closeness B+ Smoothness A+ Sharpness A
