    Thank you, Andrew!
I really like the scent of Beaudelaire. It's not one I could describe. I would if I could.

Prayers that whatever happens, everyone will be able to pick up the pieces and be in a better position than before the shakeup.

Yes. I used it the same as Superior 70, just a quick splash after a cold water rinse.

I will try and post some pics of the difference between the two. The bottle, printing etc all look very similar and both are made in Puerto Rico.

Clint, it is understandable how you feel about straight razors. For many years, I looked askance at guys who would use a cut-throat razor. Honestly, I thought they were nuts! At age 63, I saw the light and started to wonder about them and finally, took the plunge. As far as cutting yourself with a straight, I have to say that the cuts were clean and very minor. Now, I only have almost 4 months experience with a traditional straight (42 shaves), but I am sure most guys would affirm my claim. However, I always say whatever works for you is fine by me. If you ever decide to come join our team, you are fortunate to have us help you in any way possible.

IMG_1765.jpg First day of my focus with my new BlackHawk. I think the pic is pretty self explanatory in that this is an SE razor that takes Artist Club blades. It is an aluminum razor, and as such is very light. This is my first Artist Club Safety razor, however the Feather Pro blades came from @Keithmax last year with the CJB Shavette. First use of this soap as well- We have already bantered on here that this is a TFS soap, and is their 'Super Tallow' formula with Tallow, Shea Butter and Lanolin. I whipped up a quite nice, thick lather. Took it to the bowl for a first use and got this GIT dupe right in the range I like. I don't own the Creed original, but have had Stirling's Sharp Dressed Man, which I loved the scent of. I am pretty lousy at scent descriptions, but here goes- This is not as strongly scented on the puck as SDM is, nor is it quite as 'fresh' smelling. After one use? More than an acceptable scent, but not quite the powerhouse that SDM is. It doesn't burn me, though...
I did a full 3 pass shave with my new toy. Took extra care to be keep a light touch, especially given the aluminum razor. I ended up with a very nice shave. My neck is as good as I ever get it, actually. I felt a little sandpaper around my mouth, though and thought I'd give it a little touch up. Mistake. Forgot this was a new AC blade for a sec and gave myself a small cut. AC blades don't create tiny weepers, they create nice, small, clean cuts. Had to get the Styptic out, but still a very good shave. The Fine splash seems to be a decent match as well. 3 hours later and my face is still soft as well. A really good first shave with this combo. I'll use the same razor/soap combo tomorrow and see how the lather is with face-lathering.
    Have a great day, all!

Wonderful post, Jason! That aftershave looks to be one of the older bottles, which is good, as the formula changed (in my opinion) when they moved to the newer bottle. Price also went up. Anyway, great shave! The Hawk is a fun razor.

Great shave Joseph!! I really love the looks of that CH2!
    Nice shave Aaron!
Awesome shot, Charlie! congrats on finishing off the SC!!
Nice setup Brian! You and your colleagues are in my prayers.
Awesome photo, Jason! You'll get the Hawk dialed-in in no time.

Thanks Jason.....You have me leaning toward the Stirling. I have never had an issue with a product burning me so hopefully I will not have that problem.

Happy Anniversary, Jim! I hardly remember the place without your stunning daily photos. What are your thoughts on the Beaudelaire? It certainly has its fans.
Happy Fat Friday, Perry! Are those the twin blade Personnas from John?
I've had that occasionally with the larger SE heads as well, Jim. It almost feels like there is a suction effect going on at times. I'm sure you'll get it dialed in, perhaps with a different soap.
Wow, what a photo. Usually I would say 'great minds' when we do something similar, but as we both cut ourselves trying to buff with an AC blade, I'm not sure that shoe fits this morning...
I had a bike just like that! Where is the hockey card and clothes pin in the spokes?
Yup, there is a well-known story on here of @Norcalnewb showing us more than we wished for in a reflection...
Hey! 62 less pounds...Time to show off, Charlie!
Be careful what you wish for...
Very unique set up, John. Enjoy the weekend.
Great write up as always, Joseph. Yes, the whole 'I could kill myself with this blade' is not the best sales pitch for using a straight...
Love the Baker Street! A great looking combo.
Sorry to hear this may not be a great day at work, Brian. Tabac is very appropriate, therefore.:)

1st 30Dc post.... :) No Image....busy morning. About to travel for a working weekend.

About 50 wet shaves in now....having too much fun mixing it up to commit to one of anything (yeah...I know...won't learn as fast), but only getting nicks every now and then from DE shaving (usually when thoughts stray from the task at hand), otherwise it's a DFS every day, and a BBS every few days. The last nick was yesterday (friggin nose got in the way as I moved), and before that it'd been almost 2 weeks. Now....with my two straights and shavette, that's a learning curve, so only doing the cheeks and flats of the neck. I only try the straights 2-3x a week when it's really slow. Once I get a nick with a straight, shave is finished with a DE.

    3-1-19 DFS:
    Gillette L1 Slim Adjustable
    Treet DE Blade
    Semogue OC Boar
    Proraso Pre-Shave Cream (red)
Stirling Bay Rum Soap (trial size)
    TOBS After Shave Gel

Thank you, Jason! Yes, @Screwtape sent several of us some twin blades a while back. I'm still using them! They're terrific.
