As we all know, life gets heavy at times. Everyone is different, but humor has always been a relief valve for me. My Bride tells me I'm just like my Dad in that regard.

Laughter doeth good like medicine. Doctors are now believing it.

 

It makes sense to me too.

 

I like Herman's Hermits version of that song better.

 

Especially laughter where you poke fun at yourself, for instance, as opposed to being cynical.

 

That's actually a very nice looking razor, John. I'd be tempted to rename it the Ming Shi Loose Screw 3000s. I bet you get it dialed in very quickly.

Welcome back, Fuzzy. Glad you had some downtime after the long turnaround. I saw your straight razor in the other thread. It's a beauty, and I bet it will be a great shaver.

That's interesting...I like to think my sense of humor came from that of my Dad. He had a very serious nature, but at the same time could find time to laugh good-naturedly.

 

That came from the Bible. I wouldn't have known that, except for the preface to The Kennedy(JFK) Wit... an album I had fun with as a teen. The preface was by Adlai Stevenson.

 

Back to shaving for a brief moment, it is conceivable I could get my Clubman items and my soap from The Soap Exchange on the same day, with this USPS shipping delay.

I actually picked up a few nice razors in the lot with that Boker. A mint Merkur 37c slant, a veddy nice baton handle 1912 Star, a Schick G4, a Star DE, and a Clark's Silver King. There are a few others in there too. The Clark's is the most unique of the bunch.
