Good setup and picture. It is a beautiful brush. The blue razor handle looks great.

Sorry to hear about what happened @Primotenore ....I'm glad you could get help without waiting long. And the dog will certainly provide good pet therapy. Take it easy.

    Superglue that sucker! :happy088:

Seriously, though - Ouch! Hopefully the learning experience keeps worse things from happening.

I'll recommend one I've used and one I look forward to buying soon.

What I've used=-Clubman Special Reserve. . many think of Indiana Jones on this one, but I'll choose Jack Palance and Clint Eastwood....even though Jack was famous for his Skin-Bracer ad. I figure Jack and Clint were more upbeat, and Indiana was about "Doom". I'm glad to see the "Wild West" in a Clubman product.
What I haven't, but look forward to buying soon-Central Texas Soaps "Weekend Rodeo". Greg(CTS owner) describes this as "warm-tanned leather. Simple and unapologetic". That description reminded me of how Joanna described the TSD Russian Leather-"like being in a leather store". It's weird to recommend something I don't have now, but a leather shave product from a Texas company MUST be pretty special. And of course I have the CTS Grandpa's Barbershop(which I really enjoy). I should clarify-as we know the Grandpa's Barbershop I have is just the soap, but I plan to "bundle" the Weekend Rodeo, so I'd get the aftershave, too.

    Some shame about that Maggard's.

The soap does not come in a container. No real problem for me since I had one I could use. I can't really describe the scent but I can say that I like it. The soap was softer than I expected. I will no more after I give it a try.

I saw this soap in a message or a tweet. I'll wait for a review. I already have to many soaps according to my wife.

A very early morning shave with an early evening post. I really enjoy using hardware and software that just work for me without a lot of thought or drama. This lineup delivered just that. A three pass shave with no drama at all. I had hoped to finish everything at work today but I reached a point of diminishing returns so I will go in for a few hours tomorrow. I hope everyone had a great Friday.

I have way to many. Fortunately my wife doesn't mind too much. I do have several that I should finish up soon.

I think you drowned the puck and the lanolin leached out into the excess water. I just added a trickle of water to the top and sides of the soap, left it to soak in, then trickled a little more on top a couple of times until the soap seemed to have absorbed all it could handle. And now the almost daily use keeps the moisture content up. No chance for the lanolin to leach out because there was nowhere for it to go.
