    It's a good soap. Has a different lather than anything else I use. More like whipped cream than yogurt. But keep on working it, it comes to a very stiff consistancy, and no bubbles. Not absolute tops for slickness, but pretty respectable. And the scent is awesome in my book.

    I know what kinda seal that is, just be careful, some requrie 2 wax rings and the rubber seals don't work.

    The brush was lathe turned by Jim @Jayaruh. The bald cypress came from a low hanging limb in my dad's satsuma orchard.

    Red Tip shaves very similar to a Flare Tip. It's got a great knurled grip and it's a little heavier than the Flare. Supposed to be more aggressive / efficient than the mid grade DE. Bigger gap, but that's between the blade and safety bar. I ride the cap so it doesn't come into play. In finest condition well worth up to a double sawbuck being a fine example of vintage Gillette engineering.

    +1 Bill. Funny thing is, I like the scent of Nag Champa and Patchouli. Just couldn't wrap my nose around Glastonbury. Sold it.

    No, just weird. But, we all have different noses. Apparently there's quite a few that like the scent. Maybe, this was the old formulation that had the Stirling "clay" smell? It was about 4-5 years ago that I had the soap.

    Great pic, Rick! I have a Red Tip inbound myself.
    Be careful on the ladder. We don't need another 30DCer injured falling off a ladder. I think John @Screwtape was trying to shave with a paint scraper last Mayhem when the accident occurred but he hasn't admitted to it.
