March 2019 30 Day Rule/Focus Pix & Discussion

Thanks Jim! My first 3 months on this forum, I have followed my particular focus for each month. In April, I am giving myself a reprieve by not doing a rule or focus, but choosing any razor in my shave den that suits me on any day. I guess I am following the "adjustable" theme of April, by adjusting the type of shave that I desire.

 

Those clix razors are pretty nice 2 sided thingies.

 

Final shave of the month was nice. Caught a little nick from the Santorium. Hope I spelled that right. The Derby premium half blades work good too. Stirling Glastonbury and SOS after shave lotion (from Croatia) did a mighty fine job. Veddy close DFS all around.

 

Cool looking shavette, Fuzzy. What kind of coffee are you drinking? We broke out some Aldi's this week, and my Bride is not impressed...

The name on the shavette - Sanguine - refers to a blood red color. Bet that refers to the color of the razor's scales. It also refers to cheerful, but I don't think that applies in your case.

 

Either that or the color that flows with incorrect use.

 

I thought the same thing, but I wasn't going to bring that up, Jim. I really do have a filter, believe it or not.

Ok well, maybe. This one is a little to kind for me to use it a lot.
Its brothers the Conex OC's, now those are good razors. Loaded with a new feather, the all brass head/base one a few shaves back, is a great "2 sided thingy".

From the looks of the picture, you may be the only guy that can straight shave and drink coffee while reading a book.

This month has been a fun one shave wise. I think I got the hang of my flare tip, and got the courage to shave my head. One more shave this month with the flare tip and next months focus starts.

I am as cheerful as can be...... sometimes.

The coffee is French Market dark roast with chicory. Veddy nice stuff.

 

Sounds like good times.

 

It is multipurpose, bathroom and kitchen. That way I could justify the price.

Congratulations on the epic shave. I tend to prefer big razors with heavy grinds, I find it easier to fine tune the angle with them. Sometimes it is fun to use a full hollow and listen to the hairs pop.

Wow, can’t get that in Seoul. Save some for me.

That’s quite the range of straight razor styles. The Dark Side is fun isn’t it?
