Thank you, Clint! So, the question that comes to mind, which I think is the crux of the conversation for me: why do some men insist that only aggressive razors are suitable for their beard? I think I full agree with your definition of aggressive. It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with efficiency. Somehow, though, aggressiveness has been tied to the idea that it somehow shaves a tough beard better, but I don't believe that to necessarily be true.

Thank you, Perry! Some good comments on more aggressive razors being able to do a better job than others. Maybe aggressive razors tend to also be efficient?

    Day 61.

Three passes with the Gravjura, and this was my best yet with a straight. I really only needed the tech for my lower neck. Mickey Lee is another soap that I'm using for the first time with a straight, and it's a definite keeper. I do get a slight burn from this particular scent. But not terrible, and I like the scent too much to get rid of it.

I'm sorry you're not feeling well, Jason. Good idea to get some rest today. I'm hoping tomorrow will be a much better day. At least you completed a top shelf shave. Wonderful photo, as always, my friend. Take care of yourself.

I'm not sure I agree with the "tough beard and sensitive skin" reasons for not getting a good shave. Properly hydrated hair is no match for razor-sharp surgical steel. However, I recognize that folks may have skin sensitivities to certain products, and conditions like Acne certainly make getting a nice shave more difficult. Aside from that, my experience is that a proper shave with a blade actually benefits the skin.

IMHO, it boils down to the skill of the person shaving and assumes there are no mechanical defects with the razor. Aggressive vs. non-aggressive razors is a secondary consideration at best.

This is an interesting conversation. This is all just my opinion. It's just shaving. To each his own. Party on !

Good job with the Parker, Charlie. And how was Robber Bridegroom? BTW, the song that was mine was called: Deeper in the Woods. I thought of that later.
