Great report and Beautiful photo, Jim. How you ever managed to find a brush handle that so perfectly matches the Winter Refraction labeling will forever be one of those unsolved mysteries of life--gorgeous! :D

Thanks, Bill! Oddly enough, I find it easier than using a DE--less contorting. ;)

Awesome report and shave, Paul! :D

I don't know if I'd call them thirsty or not, but my experience with Stirling soaps is that they can take a lot of water--and for my lathers they do ;)

Fun shave today! 2 passes with one neck touch up to near BBS, with a very minor neck weeper. @jtspartan 's brush handle with the Omega knot, wow....tons of instant lather, great feel in the hand, awesome bowl & face goodness. This razor came as a PIF from the first round of the TSD 2020 traveling box, refinished by @MrEE. Evan's work is incredible. I only have a handful of vintage DEs, and this is a wonderful addition. Loaded with the Treet Platinum (one of the very first DE blades I tried), the OT just got 'er done on 48+ hours of growth. Finished up with PAA's Star Jelly, followed with Razorock's Blue Fougère. This Fougère is one of my favorites, has great longevity for me. Appears to share roots to Faberge's Brut, but also.....I find some faint cross undertones (like 3rd cousins) to SV's Felce Aromatica, but then some of ToBS's sweetness in it's Sandalwood. I'll need to compare some ingredients..... Never noticed that before, maybe the snozz is broken.....I have been up to my eyeballs in sawdust and grout dust the past few days doing some tub/shower repair/refloor/remodel to a second bathroom.

On another note....48+ hours of growth....not wifey approved. Razorock's Blue Fougère, definitely wifey approved. :happy088:

Hope everyone has an awesome Sunday!

Another nice day of getting to sleep in. The pollen here is just awful. The sidewalks were covered with a fine yellow/green powder during the walk. Even worse the the yellow/green haze hanging in the air. My allergies are just screaming. The Felce Aromatica is one of my favorite soaps and scents with a performance to match. The RV7 did wonderful job face lathering. Change of hardware for the next week. Up is Tatara Nodachi razor. While the blade gap of 0.90mm is nearly the same as the Karve D plate, I find this razor has a much narrower sweet spot requiring more attention. I also find that the Nodachi in my hands is more likely to draw blood than any of my Karve plates. Three passes and touch ups did catch the baby. I ended up with several weepers. Were it not for my iron like skin, I would have had some irritation chasing the baby. It was close enough as it was. I did manage to catch the little guy but I am quite sure it was not worth the effort. A splash of the Felce Aromatica left my face feeling fantastic. Even SWMBO gave a rare comment. "That smells great". In the end a win all around. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

    Awesome report, Joseph!

I was so intrigued by your review yesterday that I checked out midnight Stag right after--sounds awesome. I like Stirling's Texas on Fire for much of the same reasons. MS just seems so bold and distinctive... even the packaging :happy102:

Prayers that you and your family continue to remain COVID-19 free.

Guess it is the other side of the face with all the battle scarring.

Is is the wise man who only displays the 'show side' here at TSD shave land.

Awesome photo and wonderful report, Blair! That 30DC brush is one of my favorite fixtures on this thread. I have a replated Flare Tip from Evan--it's one of my favorite shavers.

Hope the remodeling goes as well as the shaves! :D

Fantastic photo and report, Clint! I'd never heard of the Tatara Nodachi and had to look it up--it's a Beautiful razor, and I'm sure it'll be a great shaver once you get it dialed in.

We've got waves of pollen fogging up everything around here too--my pine tree... oye!
