March 13 SOTD

Good morning guys!

Today's shave was a big milestone! It was my 250th traditional straight razor shave and with my 250 shavette shaves, the grand total is 500 open blade shaves. It has been a nice journey to get to this point. I am looking forward to 1000 open blade shaves which should bring me to the end of 2023.

I am meeting Joe for lunch at 1 pm EST and so I timed this milestone shave for today. I also wanted to take my time so that there wouldn't be any errors. Don't want to meet a shave brother looking like I don't know how to shave. Lol!

Did face lathering with hot water and got a very nice slick creamy lather.
First pic is 1st pass lather:

Mad Max performed like the superstar he is. Two passes (WTG and ATG) gave me a BBS shave without any bloodshed and without irritation. I did the cotton ball test and it some fuzz was detectable on the lower neck only when I pressed the cotton ball hard. It may not be an epic BBS, but it still was a great shave befitting my 250th straight shave and my 500th open blade shave. Postshave was performed in my usual manner. Splashed on the Glastonbury aftershave and there was not any burning whatsoever, thus indicating this was a very smooth, close comfortable shave. Have a great Saturday guys!
