Martin de Candre Fougère~~Simpson "The Hive"~~Heljestrand MK 32~~Warner/Cosmair Polo
King of the fougères this morning. This jar is probably 1/3 full and I can expect to get many more fabulous lathers.
The Simpson, with its Manchurian knot, delivered the
    gorgeous goods to my face.
Plenty of backbone in this brush, but not too scrubby. Good hair.

Before I shaved, I taped the spine on the MK32 and got out my father's Arkansas Hard Oil Stone.
With mineral oil as the lubricant, I performed maybe 30 laps.

Followed that up with my leather strops and the results were exponentially better than last time.
Today's FOTD® involves another vintage scent comparison.

The two I have are the absolute original by Warner and the first reformulation by Cosmair.
The Warner is a real unicorn, and all I have is about 4 ml in an aftermarket atomizer.
The prices are astronomical and, imo, not worth the $$. You'll see why in a second.
The Cosmair is, in my limited experience, one of the first reformulations, that actually
    improved upon the original.
I have a spritz of each on the back of my hands and am taking an occasional sniffy-sniff
    as I type.
    First, however, the fraghead notes:

So, what's the difference? While they both share a pine opening,
that, of the Warner, is much brighter and the tobacco note is much more dominant.
The Cosmair, on the other hand (pun intended), has the strong pine scent,
but is rounder, fuller, darker. I also am picking up more leather from the Cosmair.
Projection is better with the Cosmair. The Warner is slightly linear.
It will be interesting to test the longevity as the day progresses, but from what I have read,
the Warner will fade first. I'll try to follow up.

    Good morning guys!

    Parker SRB
    Rockwell 1/2 DE (4)
    Omega Pro 48 Boar Brush
    Stirling Glastonbury SS and AS
    Dickinson's WH
    Nivea ASB
    Whiskers: 23.5 hrs

It's rare that shave my just shy of 24 hr stubble, but sometimes I need to change my routine. As mentioned earlier, I am using the Glastonbury a few times a week to finally deep six it. Alas, the donut hole is getting larger. Two pass shave gave me a BBS minus shave without any incidents. Did my normal post shave routine ending with the matching splash. This was a nice shave that put a smile on my face. Have a terrific day guys! 20210322_074101.jpg

    Razor: Blackland Vector SB
    Blade: Feather Professional (2)
    Brush: Yaqi PurpleHaze

    PAA Galactic Witch Hazel
    PAA Star Jelly
    AS: PAA St Martin's Land

    Good morning!

Swapped over to the SB baseplate on the Vector for a quick three pass neck shave. My goatee is looking a little rough. I seem to be unintentionally removing little bits of it now and then. Time to grow my beard out for awhile and try a do over on the goatee.

    Have a great day!

FuzzTech Razor head on Weber Bulldog handle
    Rapira Platinum Lux blade
    Simpson T3 Trafalgar synthetic brush
    Fine Snake Bite Soap
    Pinaud Clubman Aftershave Lotion

Dave @Dave in KY inspired this shave causing the FuzzTech to come out and play.

The T3 whipped up some amazing Fine lather that was in Primotenore territory this morning.

Dave seems to have discovered the usefulness of a grinder and file and has created his own version of the FuzzTech. He did a great job and I look forward to his next creation. I honestly did not know what to shave with this morning till I was scanning the post earlier and seen what Dave had going on this morning. The FuzzTech had to come out and play. Evan @MrEE did an amazing job plating the head and creating the storage box. This razor will always hold a special place in my den.

The FuzzTech was good for three drama free passes and it is always a joy to drive.

A little witch hazel and Clubby stank and I am ready for Monday.

    Have a great day gentlemen.
