I have only tried this one, and I like it quite a bit. Scent has more staying power then the Lustray line. Almost straight alcohol. Burns like crazy, don't use if you have had a rough shave. I only paid 5 bucks for a bottle. They also have a lilac that I have been told doesn't reek of cat piss.

    Razor: Alumigoose
    Blade: Feather Pro
Brush: Razorock 24mm 2 Band Finest
    Soap: B&M Seville
Post Shave Face Care: Maggard Alum Block/ Thayers Medicated Superhazel
    Aftershave: Fine American Blend

Well the long awaited (48 hours since placing the order) Alumigoose has arrived in the Den. I noticed at about 6:55 A.M. the tracking info updated to out for delivery. Filled up my thermos with some piping hot coffee and went to sit outside on the front porch to await the mailman. As I am about to go back in almost a hour later to refill on coffee I hear the truck pull up. I run outside and just stare at him in the truck. I am guessing I was looking a little crazy..
    stare2.jpg
because he guns up the hill a few houses and starts up there. I move over to the sidewalk blankly staring at him as he inches closer and closer to my house. He finally walks up says "expecting something are we?" and reaches into his bag. I quickly grab it and run back in without saying a word but looked back to catch his facial expression turn into scared bewilderment.

I run into the kitchen and grab a knife and open the box. Inside the box is another box.. a black rectangular box that says "Mongoose Razors" on it. I flip open the cover and there she is.

First impressions by holding it are great. The workmanship IMO is wonderful. It is long, slender, but fairly light. It fells great in the hand and feels comfortable holding on to it. I ran up to the den, grabbed a Feather Pro Blade and some shaving soap, brush, and aftershave. Hurtle back downstairs to the bathroom and start prepping to shave.

I whipped up a great lather and applied it to my face. I had 4 days growth so I was expecting a struggle with cutting the hair. It took about half a swipe to figure out the correct cutting angle for the Goose and once I did man oh man did this thing just plow through my stubble like nothing. 1 pass with minor touchup on the chin and I am BBS smooth. This was the quickest shave I think I have ever had and quite easily the most comfortable and enjoying one in a long time. I know this is only 1 shave in so take what I am saying with a grain of salt. I will update more and go further into what I think of it the more I use it. So far I think this is a must have in any den. If you have the spare $100 and don't mind jeopardizing your marriage (SWMBO is still miffed at me :char039:) I say go for it. Only con I can say about the Goose is that I don't want to use anything else after using it today... I am sure a major den clearing will be coming soon.

@NCoxSTL.... Can the Cartel grant approval for one more shave with it before I go back to filleting myself? I'll pay in Vodka....:eatdrink047:

    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: GEM PFTE Coated
    Razor: GEM Featherweight
    Brush: Vulfix 2006C badger
    Lather: VDH Luxury M-Bombed
Post: Witch hazel splash, Country Club 1837, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, XTG

Wow, what a redemption shave! I used the GEM razor last weekend with a stainless blade with terrible results. The shaves were most uncomfortable. Today's shave confirmed that the blade from last weekend was bad. This shave was great! The GEM mowed through a day and a half worth of beard with no problems. It felt smooth, comfortable, and great.

I bowl lathered the VDH with 6-7 drops of M-Bomb in my custom scuttle that was filled with ice water. The ice water and menthol all worked to great satisfaction. Rinsing with ice water after the first pass with the menthol felt amazing.

Two passes, ice water rinses, witch hazel, Country Club 1837 and Nivea all finished off a really nice shave. Unfortunately my wife doesn't like the 1837. Smells "aggressive and powdery" to her, so it's probably not a repeater for me. She approves of the Veg so I have to take my disapprovals seriously!

Have a great rest of the weekend everyone!

    Saturday Shower/Shave
    [IMG]
Shower- Noxzema facial cleaner, Dr. Bronner's All-One Hemp Peppermint bar soap
    Brush- RazoRock Plissoft
Razor- Muhle R41 on a Maggard MR5 handle
    Blade- Voskhod (2)
Soap- TSD Tabac type and KMF mint with M-Bomb
Thayers Witch Hazel with grapefruit EO
    AS- Florida Water with M-Bomb

I had the weirdest thing happen during today's shave. I built a beautifully thick lather in my bowl with the TSD Tabac and thought "It's hot out, where's my M-Bomb?" I added 7 drops to my lather, gave it a few swirls to mix and my lather disappeared. There was nothing in the bowl or on my brush. It was as if I ran them under the sink. So I rinsed everything off and started over but my lather this time was lacking so I used a pump of KMF and added 10 drops of M-Bomb. Wonderful lather and I was perfectly frozen. Felt wonderful. The second shave with the Voskhod and it was as good as the first. Definitely top 2 this month sons with the Personna Red. As I write this I'm enjoying the Florida Water scent, I really like this cologne and you can't beat the price.

Other than my lather disappearing it was a great shave. Riding the cap and using face stretching allow me the achieve BBS shaves with no irritation. I'm also enjoying trying all these new blades, I've found 2 contenders to battle the mighty GSB for blade supremacy. Have a great day folks!

Forgot the bowl in my photo. :)
Amazing shave this evening with the Tres Amigos Envy White brush. The Sweeny Todd whipped into an amazing lather. Sweeney Todd shaving soap is brimming with the aroma of delicious Sicilian blood oranges, with their signature spicy berry undertone, blended with a hint of fir, warmed on a rich woody base. The Route 66 Sweeny Todd after shave balm has the same amazing fragrance and is soothing on the face after a excellent shave.
The Schick G1 has been an excellent shaver all week. I would highly recommend I to anyone. Definitely a BBS today.

I'm running out of bad blades before I'm running out of month.

    Angry Russian
    Sharp Star(2)
    Marvy
    VdH Boar
    Nivea Sensitive cooling ASB

I decided to take a save me day. Partly because sleep wasn't shaking off this morning and partly because I am running out of bad blades faster than I am days in the month.

Marvy was meh, It lathered but it didn't want to stick around and it was really drying on the skin like always. The Sharp Star/Russian combo gave me a 2 pass BBS with only one spot of blood on the lower part of my neck. To rehydrate after the mummifying Marvy I broke out the Nivea.
