Thanks for bearing with me on the OCD humor. I'm the worst here when it comes to stuff like this. On watch forums, folks sometimes bemoan the first scratch on a new watch...even watches that are meant to be used as tool watches. Then there are folks that wear their watches for everything and look at scratches, dings, swirls, etc. as character marks. After smacking a few door frames with my watches, I've learned to ease up and enjoy the watches as they were intended. My Dad, a bricklayer, was definitely in the second camp. I've got some of his thoroughly used watches, and I wouldn't have it any other way. His wedding ring and watches tell a story that I want to always remember.

The guys that inspect their watches using 10X loupes really get rattled because everything is imperfect given sufficient magnification. I've got a loupe that I've never removed from the package. I'm nutty enough without a 10 x multiplier. And take a guy like @wchnu...even he looks good when viewed from an extreme distance.

I'm going with the character argument on Simpson brushes. There's going to be variation in any hand assembled item, and that actually adds to the coolness factor.

Bravo, guys, you have some cool Simspon brushes there. Those deep blue handles rock!

 

Umm, he's already had some. Though we made it mild for him.

Let me say this....I KNEW THAT.

 

In my neck 'o the woods, certain things are hand-dipped in red wax. Every one is different, and that adds to the character. The "slam dunk" is my favorite. I think visitors can dip their own bottles, so if I ever get a chance....

 

Great shave and beautiful picture Joseph. Just to let you know my shredded Arko is out of the Zip-lock bag and is out on the carport airing out today. If I can get the scent to tone way down I'll give another go. If not, I'll us it for gnat repellent. Hopefully this Alabama 90 degree weather will suck some scent out of it.

Hey, he's a Colorado boy through and through. As I boy I grew up with fresh homemade Green Chili, Tortillas, and refried beans. Let me tell you, my Grandma's cooking could have put any Mexican restaurant around today to shame. Mmm, dang it Paul. Now I want to change my lunch plans.

The fellers over at the Marshall Space Flight Center estimate it will be ready in sometime in September. They're beginning to pick up the scent on Doppler Radar.

 

I might need to seal this stuff back up. I did not know it would effect the weather. Good one Charlie!

I didn't measure the knot before installing but the finished loft ended up at what I was shooting for, 52mm. I could have gotten away with setting it a couple of mm higher. Ton of backbone right now. The tips aren't quite as soft as the tips on the SHD fan, but still pretty darn soft.

“Can’t Hang with The Straight Guys” Wow. That’d be a real test of how benevolent the @Queen of Blades wishes to be! Although that’d be a lot more politically correct than “Not a Straight Guy” or “Scared of the Straight Guys”.

No judgement here Jason. I can relate. In fact, I’m pretty sure that guys here use pics of my shaving cabinet as proof of their own sanity. Cheers, brother.
