I'm so sorry to hear about your friend, Danny. I hope he made a full recovery. He sounds like a strong man, and I hope people listen when he tells his story.

 

I've made that task a little easier by going ATG, then "chipping" left to right(like chipping ice off your car)

 

It was also entertaining as well. When you mix brave and stupid great things often happen kind of like riding a rocket to outer space. You have to be brave and also stupid to set on top of one.

He did make a full recovering. They ended up taking his little fingers off. It messed up the tendons and the fingers stayed in the way. It was difficult for him to put his hands in his pockets. The little fingers would not bend toward his palms.

 

What a fighter, Danny. Much respect for him. Thanks for sharing his story.

 

I need to get a shave in for in the morning. I don't feel like a MAYhem shave. Any suggestion? I just cannot make up my mind for tomorrows shave. Most of y'all know what type of gear I have. Throw me some ideas.

hello fello Mayhemians, monday night shave..wanted a little luxury tonight so went with a given set up..1930 new deluxe criterion set, nacet blade, opal f200 with a finest 2 band badger fan knot( thank you Keith),and saponificio varesino felce soap .loaded the brush and built a captain's bowlful of awesome lather, 2 combination passes later with minor pick ups and was rewarded with a dfs+ no drama shave..a little twisted thayers while i cleaned up the tools and acqua di selva cologne to finish..awesome.. have a great tuesday gentlemen..

Had my first go with the Valet Autostrop this morning. With a despined Gem coated stainless blade. My, but this thing is mild. It's going to take me another try or three to get the angle worked out on this thing. I ended up cheating and grabbing an injector for a last quick cleanup pass.

I dont go ATG but do a witch hazel cleanup. Way less irritating.

I like Adam's Mayhem spirit as I for one have done some wild shaves last year. Its not for everyone and I wouldn't recommend it if your not comfortable.

 

Beautiful Valet.....they are fun razors.
