    Happy Friday Everyone. I will kick off May by finishing up my week with the Genesis. The Stuga Silvertip loaded and lathered the MdC with ease. The Agrumes citrus scent is very nice and last throughout the shave. I did add a few drops of B&M Terrorade which chilled things down nicely. Three passes and touch ups ended in another automatic BBS shave. A splash of Fine Italian Citrus and I am ready for a day of working remotely. I hope everyone has a great Friday.

    A.S.-Stoylin BoS Splash

    Real pleased with my efforts today. 0:15 to moisten the brush, 0:25 to load it with the BoS soap. Pretty routine all the way. Y-formation kicked into gear on the neck. I did have a weeper in that same ol' area around the mouth(see my "May Focus" for a plan of attack). Harmless, but present. Could have been worse, I suppose. Nivea 4 Men is probably my favorite bodywash, but I will be ordering a Stoylin Liquid BW soon, and it will be exciting to compare. Most Excellent.

    Great shave, Clint! Do you think I might have better luck shaving with a Genesis than with the Hybrid?

    Thank you Jeff. Since the Hybrid and Genesis are supposed to have the same head, I would think your results would be about the same. You spent a lifetime using a DE and your muscle memory helps keep you from applying pressure. I used carts a long time so I am used to applying pressure. My trick for the OneBlade is just to turn my brain off. I put the razor to my face and apply enough pressure to engage the pivot and then I go with very long shaving strokes. I have a couple of trouble spots that I splash water one and buff while applying pressure.

    I'm in for my birthday month. My major focus will be to be more careful around the sides of my a, where I've been getting weepers and sometimes cuts. Right off the bat, I wasn't careful enough to avoid a weeper(see my SOTD). 30 more days to get some success happening. But one thing I do like about May by the end of the month I'm onto my spring/summer shave choices. I have a few ready to go now, but a couple orders throughout the month will get me best prepared. Expect me to buy another Central Texas Soaps-either their new Padre Island, or Down At The River-they sound like quality spring/summer soaps,. Also, a Stoylin order is in the works very soon. Anyway, here's to another month of great shaves and reports by everyone!
