First day of Mixed up May, and pulled out my Mixed badger/boar brush. Not really a focus, I realize, but just a little smarminess to start the month. I did pull out a new to me blade to mix it up a bit. I got a few tucks of the Russian Greens to get me over the free shipping threshold when I ordered a new razor last month.
Hadn't pulled the awesome Castle Forbes cream since Favourites February, so it was definitely neglected. I treat it like a soap and load from the tub. I ended up with the usual top tier lather, but did overload and was left with a ridiculous amount of lather left on the brush after 3 passes. Oh well, I'd rather have that than not enough any day.
The Occam's did fantastically as always, this blade did well, the lovely straight up Lime scent filled the room and I was rewarded with 3 nice passes that left me quite smooth.
Love the face feel of Maol splashes. A few hours later and my face still feels fantastic. Very CL-like for those of you who are CL fans.
    Have a great day all!

I kinda 'borrowed' a butter knife and hacked it in two, then welded a single edge blade on it for MAYhem. Nothing serious.

    timabababaluka No exceptions. Except.....

The razor is exactly along those specs, so that's good news.

And crud! Hidden deep in a sock drawer, I forgot to include it in my den photo. Just as well--it is not shave ready at this point, and won't be till summer.

Cool! Congrats! The Sunspot Orange is beautiful. I truly hope you have better luck with shipping than my last Simpson order. I do believe mine is an anomaly and not the norm. @b1hart placed an order with Simpson after I did and his brush arrived in the normal travel time. My Ruby Red synthetic was ordered March 26th and it still hasn't arrived. Good news is tracking updated last night and it has finally made it to the United States.

    SharptoothC I bite..........

They do make a mighty fine razor. I really lucked upnand bought two from an antique vendor that had picked up an estate sale lot and had no idea what they were.

    SOTD:
Some beautiful shaves over the last week, with the derby blade starting to show its age, not yet tugging buts its definitely lost a lot of sharpness. Fantastic blades for the price and even though its on the opposite end of the spectrum to my beloved feathers, they provide an absolutely amazing shave. They're also some of the cheapest blades around so great value for money.

Whenever my blades lose some sharpness, i tend to go for my slicker soaps with arko being the slickest of the slick i have, so i used that all week.

I also used my blue stratos, an aftershave ive had for a few years but not yet featured in any of my SOTD posts. I also used my relatively new old spice Wolfthorn.

    Shave 1:
    Razor: Jagen David E-01
    Blade: derby extra (7)
    Soap: arko shave stick
    Brush: omega 49
    Aftershave blue stratos

    Shave 2:
    Razor: Jagen David E-01
    Blade: derby extra (8)
    Soap: arko shave stick
    Brush: omega 49
    Aftershave blue stratos

    Shave 3:
    Razor: Jagen David E-01
    Blade: derby extra (9)
    Soap: arko shave stick
    Brush: omega 49
    Aftershave: old spice Wolfthorn

Wonderful picture, Jason! Love the way the green pops on the soap label every time I see it! I need to get my Occam's DE into the rotation soon. You know how highly I rate that razor. I enabled two of my coworkers into the Occam's and they both love it.
    Thank you, Patrick!
