I decided to switch gears and go with the GEM MMOC today. I have to say this is an awesome razor. It really is an outstanding shaver. Thanks again for this razor Joe. I got a great 2 pass shave without any errors and just shy of BBS.
I wanted to bring out my best brush and one of my favorite Stirling soaps to have an enjoyable experience. This Silvertip brush is really soft, but it does lather well. However, it is a lather hog, so I usually paint the lather on before I start spraying and swirling the brush on my face. Still have to squeeze the lather out of the brush, but it's not too frequent whenever I use it. Today, my lather was slick but a little translucent because the brush hogs the lather and I used too much water, but I don't mind not having a Santa Claus beard. The Christmas Eve scent is just glorious for lack of a better word.
The alum feedback was quite negligible, especially on my neck. Splashed on the witch hazel and a double portion of the matching aftershave ended this wonderful shave. Have a good evening.

Thanks Jeff! This razor and blade is no joke! It shaves as close as a straight.

 

It just takes patience, Paul! I generally spend two to three minutes building a lather! Don’t believe all that hard/soft water crap! I’ve used MWF all over the country, and never had a problem building a lather! Just be patient and spend the time necessary!

 

Much appreciated, Jeff. I'm not above doing two or three trips to the "loading dock" with this soap. Probably would do the same with any Bill Neumann soap(I have yet to make a BN soap purcase, though).
