The Tea Tree Body Bar Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #397 brush. Two passes and touch ups with the RazoRock Black Hawk with a Feather Professional blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

After this menthol bombardment I think my face all day to thaw out. The Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap started the ball rolling - it’s not intense, but it’s still pretty cooling and it’s very moisturizing, it does a great job of cleaning the skin and softening up the beard stubble. The Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo soap is something else - it has the gorgeous Sharp Dressed Man scent which is an almost exact copy of Green Irish Tweed, it’s so easy to lather up rich, I love the slickness, and the menthol sensation hits like a ton of frozen bricks. The Glacial Unscented balm gave me wonderful, icy cold soothing and moisturizing, while the Arctique aftershave brought the freeze almost through the roof - by the way, it smells lovely but it never kills the scent of a terrific fragrance like the Bleu de Chanel. Three passes cleaned me up beautifully and left me as smooth as a baby’s tukhis!

The Proraso Green Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #340 brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Russian SHaDE Razor with a Gillette Silver Blue Half Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Menthol Monday:

Not as frigid a setup as I normally go with but still colder than cold enough. Jaco’s Kudu’s Kick is such a delightful soap.

The Mother of All Freezes - we’re talking about some of the coldest stuff on this planet. The mentholated pre-shave soap is unscented, it does a great job of softening the stubble, it’s very moisturizing, it adds plenty of slickness, it’s got a nice cooling sensation, and it leaves the skin so clean. The Glacial Wintergreen soap’s awesome scent filled the bathroom, the lather worked up beautifully, and the freeze pummeled my face non-stop. The matching balm and witch hazel were a delightful finish. The Oscar Pour Lui is one of my favorite fragrances, and even Madame loves it on me. Three passes resulted in a perfect BBS shave!

How do you like that Outlaw razor? How does it compare?

 

I like it. Aggressive enough that I feel the blade doing its work without being harsh. Not so aggressive that it feels like it wants to draw blood. From memory I would say a touch more blade feel than the Blackbird SB but not as much as the Blackbird OC.
