My first menthol monday ever!

Decided to give the Menthol Monday a try. So, that's it:

The Shumate Razor Company moved from Austin, Texas to St. Louis Missouri in 1904. The tang of this razor is clearly stamped "Shumate Razor Company Austin, Texas". So that means the YOUNGEST this razor could be is 107 years old. This morning however, it performed as good as it did brand new, I was BBS in two passes but did a third because I was having fun. Too bad people aren't like this...or is it? Imagine the experience and wisdom of 107 years coupled with the mental alertness, physical stamina and "piss and vinegar" of a 20 year old. Dangerous combination indeed. Still pretty cool to think of all the things this razor has seen come and go (Two world wars, the great depression, etc.) I wondered about the orignal owner, who he was, what he did for a living. I doubt he could have ever imagined that his razor would still be delivering the morning shave 107 years later. This is probably the very thing that drove King Gillette crazy. A man can conceivably buy one straight razor that will last his entire life. There's not much money in that. However if you sell him a razor AND disposable blades, then you've got a periodic cashflow. Men are in essence paying maintenance costs on their razors, not so with straights.

I'm seriously hooked on the menthol products out there...especially the CO Bigelow products. The wife and I were shopping last weekend and Bath and Body Works had a huge sale going on. I got some body wash and lotion and man they are great products with lots of menthol action! I would recommend them to anyone who likes menthol products to check them out

This set-up is so frigid, that it's unbelieveable. The Palmolive Menthol cream is easily as cold as Godrej Menthol Mist, and the Diana Sport balsam can kick Osage Rub's butt in the cooling contest any time!
