Menthol Mondays!! WooHoo!

I'm a lefty and like everything else in the world DE's are ALL right-handed. That's my excuse for any mishaps in shaving-and in life.
My str8's, on the other hand, swing both ways. :happy102

 

Man, it is a pain to hear it! I hope you will feel better soon. Have you tried to switch hands with brush and razor? I used to switch to left-handed lathering and DE shaving a week ago after some hard spar work. It works, but the feeling is quite strange... :happy102. Anyway, it is a way to convert some pain into some fun, right?

Although our weather became a little cooler, it's still Menthol Monday, and I wanted to freeze myself as much as I could. The Godrej Menthol Mist cream and the Diana balsam did the job beautifully for me. The 7 AM's are also very good blades - I really like them.

A great face-freezing shave to start a week. Yes, Proraso Green cream and soap and I became friends again - the lather is very reliable, and the cooling effect is good. The Alt Innsbruck can be used as a cologne as well as an aftershave. :biggrin:​

My first menthol Monday

Saw this thread over the weekend and thought I'd like to give it a go... but no menthol soap/creme, so a quick trip up the chemist found 'King of Shaves Azure Cooling Menthol Gel' ... not what I was looking for but it was the only menthol and why not find out if I even like it first? £2.50 job done...

Got home last night and was instantly disapointed, the goo was black and it really read like a gillette fusion pack:

'with SSE, ALS(squared) and MME technology' (the latter kind of amused me; aparently it is full of tiny magnets that will stick to my blade... had to try... a speaker magnet will not stick to the tube of shave gel, and the blade is not now magnetized !)

Of course the gel didn't easily whip up into a lather but when it did it was fortunately white - when i read that the gel was black I was half looking forward to posting some amusing photos! and even though i initially thought the menthol too mild it was a really great sensation, and combined with the fact that this was my fourth DE shave yet AND I had a day of growth yesturday... simply mind blowing shave!

Have ordered something a bit better for next monday... Proraso Eucalyptus Menthol Shaving Creme
