Today's Menthol Monday brought to you by: home boosted AV Musk home boosted TSD Monkey Farts SS Both icy and wonderful! Ya'll have a chilly day
Inspired with crackstar/Jeff's review, I changed my set up in the last moment... Eveline shave gel as preshave (cool stuff!) 4/8 Rebell (thanks, herzi/Stefan!!!) Vie-Long horsehair brush Painted ceramic bowl Valobra Menthol soap Mayor Energy Platinum splash (COOL!) DFS+! I know Valobra Menthol is more then twice less cooling then Gada Cool Mint, but the desire was stronger then me today...
Menthol Monday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/Voskhod day 5 Noxzema SC Keri unscented moisturizer Booster Polar Ice AS Aramis EDT This shave was so wonderful, although it wasn't the coldest possible, and the aftershave is only cold by the name. Booster Polar Ice does contain a bit of menthol, but I really don't feel any cooling effect from it. The Noxzema cream is very cooling, as well as delightful in every way. I think I used this set-up today because I was nostalgic!
Today's Menthol Monday is brought to you by... Pert Plus Fresh shampoo TSD M Bomb - 4 drops in my shampoo - 3 drops in my lather bowl KMF Cool Mint shave cream Osage Rub Brut Attitude Niiiiiice!
Menthol Monday 29 August No Coffee till later Gillette New w/ Lord Platinum blade (D3) Berkley 46, face lather Grodrej-Mentol Mist Alconda Glacial and Proraso ASB A quick Monday morning shave a bit earlier than I wanted so everyone can cycle through the bathroom. Nice and chilly, I am really loving the menthol mist, its working for me. The Gillette new is definitely a more aggresive razor than the slim, and I am still getting used to it. This is the picture from an earlier SOD, but its the same set up. Not a great picture, but its a picture.
My Menthalicious Monday evening shave was a combination of Arko Shave Stick with a super duper lather of Bigelow Shave Cream. Didn't really need the Bigelow for the quality of the shave, but the cooling effect was appreciated. It was finished off with some boosted Superior 70 Bay Rum.
Menthol Monday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/Personna day 6 Noxzema SC Keri unscented moisturizer Pinaud Bay Rum AS I admit that today my shave was not the most mentholated, but it's because I was more interested in an "old-school" barbershop set-up from the 1950's or 60's. The Noxzema cream, which I love so much gave me the lather, scent, and still enough of a cooling effect that I like. The Pinaud Bay Rum is one of the few barbershop aftershave which my wife likes!
Today's Menthol Monday is brought to you by... Pert Plus Fresh shampoo + 4 drops TSD M Bomb Brut Classic shave cream + 3 drops TSD M Bomb Brut ASB + 2 drops TSD M Bomb Niiiiiiiiiiiice!

Menthol Monday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/new Personna Palmolive Cool SC Keri unscented moisturizer Osage Rub AS Dolce & Gabbana EDT A new Personna blade in the Super Speed helped to give me an absolutely wonderful shave. I love the Romanian-produced Palmolive Cool cream so much - it's exactly the same as the Italian Menthol version, except that the tube is blue, instead of green, and that it's only 65 grams, instead of 100 grams. I did 3 passes again, so I could enjoy and savour all of the menthol goodness.

Menthol Monday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/Astor day 2 Derbylux SC Diana Sport Menthol Balsam Keri unscented moisturizer about 20 minutes later Pino Silvestre EDT This was a beautiful face-freezing shave that I enjoyed so much. The Derbylux cream from Hungary starts off as a mild menthol sensation and gets increasingly stronger with each pass. By the end of the 2nd pass, it is already frigid, and by the 3rd pass you'll have tears in your eyes. The Diana Sport balsam is BRRRRRRRR cold!
Menthol Monday: This Menthol Monday followed right after Menthol Sunday with the same set up Merkur 23C/Red Personna#1 Vie-Long horsehair brush Gada Cool Mint SC (what a chilly stuff!! LOVE it!) Mayor Energy Platinum splash Effortless BBS and a nice MENTHOL kick!
Menthol Monday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/Personna day 3 Bozzano Sensitive SC Diana Sport Menthol Balsam Polo Original EDT The Bozzano Sensitive cream is a Brazilian cream with great lather, a strong eucalyptus scent which is actually quite nice, and great cooling. I really enjoyed shaving with it today. As always, the Diana Sport balsam provided an additional Arctic freezing finish.
Today's Menthol Monday is brought to you by... Pert Plus Fresh shampoo (says it has menthol, but not enough for me. see following) TSD M Bomb 4 drops in my shampoo 3 drops in my lather bowl Osage Rub Brut Attitude (menthol listed in ingredients. *shrug*) Niiiice!
Monday, September 26, 2011 Prep: Hot shower, California Baby face wash, hand strop blade Lather: TSD ISZ Wheat Cream Brush: Frank Shaving Finest Razor: Gem Micromatic Clog Pruf Blade: Ted Pella SS PTFE (2) Post: Alum block, WH, Aqua Velva Ice Blue, hand strop blade Had a rough shave this morning. I definitely don't have the sweet spot figured out on the wheat just yet. I see another few test lathers in my future today and I'll try again in the morning. I love the way it feels on my face and even with the poor lather I'm making it still makes my face feel great. I'm just not getting the smoothest shaves yet. Aaron is giving me some tips on how he lathers it so I'll be incorporating that in to see if I can do better. Any others with wheat lathering tips please feel free to clue me in!
