Today I decided to knock out 2 birds with one stone. Adjustable razor theme week and menthol Monday.
Perfect 3 pass bbs shave on the face, and 2 passes on the dome. Couldn't have been better!

This is the way we freeze our face, freeze our face, freeze our face, this is the way we freeze our face so early in the morning! Wow, what a singer I am as well. Just kidding, but this is a terrific and frigid set-up which I highly recommend for any Menthol Monday Shave. From the L'Oreal Men Expert facial wash to the Rubby Dubby Doo, you're guaranteed to want to shiver! (sorry, no pics!)

 

Thought I suggest a soap to you menthol addicts. I ordered a Omega brush and decided to throw in a puck of Edwin Jagger Cooling Menthol to make the order worthwhile. I know I haven't seen many people sing the praises of E. J. soap but IMO, this is really a good soap. Excellent lather and fantastic skin skin care and is quite protective. Normally, I grate all my soaps because I prefer a larger bowl (rice bowls) and I did this with the E.J. It's not a face freeze but a nice cooling soap that I've enjoyed very much.

It just doesn't and can't get any colder than this because JoAnna's precious ISZ soap is about the coldest shaving product known to mankind. Follow up with the Diana Sport balm and the Rubby Dubby Doo and even if it's 100 degrees outside, you'll feel chilled and comfortable. This will be a shave from Paradise!

The 7 AM blades also give me great shaves and they're quite forgiving and smoooth. Thank goodness I have a brand-new Gada Cool Mint tube as a back-up, because the one I'm using now is almost finished. The Diana Sport balm and the Rubby Dubby Doo are more than enough to freeze a man to death!

I used the Palmolive Menthol cream today. This was my second time. It is a good cream: easy to lather, slick, smooth…and menthol! 3rd day with the Super Speed and a Polsilver SI. Another great shave! I finished with an “Osage Brisk” blast.

It was a wing-dinger of a frigid shave that I knew I'd enjoy. The Ice & a Slice soap smells wonderful and gives awesome lather with menthol power which freezes like Siberia in January. The Diana balsam and the Rubby Dubby Doo together prolong that bitter-cold feeling for a long time. Oh, the 7 AM blades are very sharp and smooth - just thought I'd mention it.

Last week I had some minor issues with the 7 AM blade which I used, such as a couple of weepers and a bit of irritation from time to time so I decided to go with the Rapiras for this week because they really are my favorite blades. They give such smooth, effortless shaves with complete comfort. The Permafrost Blue stick is now a vintage item and it's fantastic - a very nice licorice-type scent with rich, stable lather which is so easy to create and a bone-chilling menthol sensation which the Diana balm and the Rubby Dubby Doo greatly intensify.

Ain't too many set-ups that can beat this one for iciness - the L'Oreal Men Expert is pretty cold to start with, and the Mentolo soap is easily as cold as or perhaps even a little colder than Proraso Green. The Visal gel is enough to make a man shiver, and the Rubby Dubby Doo can almost give you pneumonia!

There ain't nothing better than to take a nice face-freezing shave on a cold fall morning, and believe me - the ISZ soap is by far the coldest damned thing I ever shaved with. It's so easy to lather up with, it smells nice, and it not only can give you the shivers, it also is so skin-friendly. The Diana Sport balm and the Penguin both freeze like a winter day in Northern Siberia!
