Menthol Mondays!! WooHoo!

Just added Dove Men Care extra fresh scent with menthol to the menthol routine. This shampoo smells great and the menthol feeling is really soothing in the shower.

C.O. Bigelow Shave Cream, 4 drops TSD M-Bomb (I only meant to add 3, but one slipped out)

Cold water rinse
Thayers w/Aloe
Osage Rub

The Shave - Very nice. That could be for any number of reasons - the extra glide provided by the balm, getting used to the Silver Blues, or "the luck o' the Irish." Most of my shaves are shy of DFS; this one was dead-on DFS.

The Menthol Experience - Nice, but I was actually expecting more of a rush. I did feel a chill, but nothing like many of you have written about. My eyes stung a little, but never watered. I did feel it when I rinsed with cold water. Wow! Then, when I applied the Osage Rub, it first stung, then chilled. The chill hung around for about a half hour after I finished. I'm looking forward to "kicking it up a notch" when my wife lets me spend money again. I've been keeping a wish-list of some of the products the rest of you use.

The Verdict - I'll definitely be a regular Monday participant. Our house doesn't have AC, so this may be my "go-to" shave during the summer. I told my wife, "If I looked more like John Cena, and les than John Candy, I'd buy an old-fashioned shaving table and shave outside this summer." But no one wants to see that.

Folks, this set-up is only for those who can tolerate very intense menthol because even the Neutrogena facial wash is pretty darned cold. The Glacial soap has a freezing sensation which hits you as soon as you start lathering up, and it gets stronger and stronger with each pass. The Diana Sport balm and the Rubby Dubby Doo can easily make your face feel almost numb after a shave.

It's been a long time since I've used the Sharp blades so I want to see how they perform in comparison to the Rapiras. The Godrej Menthol Mist is one of the best face-freezing creams out there - rich, awesome lather which gives great blade glide. The 444 balm and the Rubby Dubby Doo are unbeatable for post-shave care, as well as additional menthol cooling.

This is the Mother of All Menthol Freezes from A-Z. The Neutrogena facial wash is damned cold, especially if you leave it on your face for a minute or two, the Glacial soap is not for anyone sensitive because it is INTENSE. The menthol effect hits like ten tons of icy bricks and a cold water rinse followed by the Diana Sport balm and the Rubby Dubby Doo can leave you almost numb. Sorry for not showing any photos because I'm on my laptop.

First time using the ER1914 This razor is a gem! I have a very comfortable close shave. It's 82 degrees, glacial had me frozen! I had an MRI on my knee today. Very late shave!
Go out and get it!

It's going to be a very warm day here in Montreal, so I might as well break out the coldest stuff I have. The Glacial soap I use at the current time is from the original test batch which Rod made and at the beginning it was a bit tough to lather up, but after I let it air out for around a month it improved greatly. I love the heavy wintergreen/menthol scent, and the freezing sensation is so intense that your eyes can start tearing. The skincare is absolutely brilliant, as is the case with all the Stirling soaps I've used. The Diana Sport/Rubby Dubby Doo combination is not for the delicate man who cannot tolerate menthol! (No photos, sorry!)

Wow mbomb is potent 4 drops make it so cold my cold water splash borders on painful but I love it lol
