Merkur 38C- different aggressiveness on each side?

Anyone notice their 38C has 1 side a little more aggressive than the other? Mine definitely does. It took me a long time to notice it but I now use it to my advantage... kind of cool actually. I'll use the less aggressive side on my upper lip where things are most sensitive.

Is this a common thing with Merkur or any other razor for that matter?
Love to hear some thoughts on this!

Others may know more than me, but it's not common in my experience. I assume you checked for even blade reveal prior to the shave and that there are no visible "structural" issues with the razor head itself. Can you see any visible differences between the two sides of the razor head...blade alignment, angle, exposure, gap, etc.?

No I don't think that a Merkur 38C is supposed to do that. Like wristwatchb mentioned, you may want to make sure you blade is centered. But hopefully others with a 38C will chime in.

I'll dig out my gauges and measure the gap. Blade seems to sit in tight and visually seems spot on...

    A side: 0.80 mm
    B side: 0.75 mm

Not a huge difference but I sure can feel it.
