I told Tiptop I'd wait until the razor of unknown style arrived. We TSDers are fortunate to have a group chat going about the bait n switch. I feel for those that have no idea what has/will arrived/arrive. My hope is still for a Clone, expectation is the other followed by refund & a negative review.
I had to nudge Ding along by requesting a refund or return directly to Ebay. Within 12 hours my refund was credited to my Paypal account.
I initially did that and also sent him a pic of the Futur clone. He said that was the one that got shipped, nope, got the cheap one.
When I submitted my refund request through e-bay, I attached a photo of the package with label, the package with the _two_ incorrect items, and the items themselves. Mine was extra incompetent, as I ordered three, and received two - both not what I ordered.
I told both it was a bait and switch and i wanted a refund or i was going to give negative feedback. Sent from my Z963VL using Tapatalk
Well, at least one thing is for sure, as I said in my SOS from yesterday, the Nanjie razor does work pretty good. I don't know how as it does have some alignment issues, though minor.
Nanji are cheap, but functional. Hong Long are even cheaper, but functional. BAYOU razors are cheap, but not functional. The cap doesn't even fit over the anvil/base properly. (three piece) REIMI are inexpensive, but very functional.
Ok you guys, reading this thread peaked my interests, as well as the wife's. She wanted me to order one for her, and after all the issues y'all are having, I decided to order from a vendor in the states. It cost $14.99 free shipping, from the seller "1999m300".
That's the best way... That's how i got this one. Came with 5 rebranded personna titanium blades, and 10 dorco primes. Like... 15-16 bucks. Sent from my Z963VL using Tapatalk
Hey, that's how it works. The people that try first are the guinea pigs for later. At least in this case, mostly we're going to be out time and some frustration, not money. So, it's a 'mistake' and not 'a learning experience'. (The first is oops, the second costs money)
Another vendor is selling the Ming Shi Futur clones, and a reliable one, virginiasheng. $9.99 or make offer with free shipping. Also, the Ming Shi and Qshave razors are supposedly made in the same factory.
Yep, went with virginiasheng for the Ming Shi razor. They took my offer of $9.00 and I ordered it. Probably could have gone a little lower, but who cares. That's low enough and shipping time from them is usually pretty good, about two weeks, even a bit less from some of my past orders. And it has tracking, which I like.
I have one seller telling me that the shipper doesn't offer tracking for items under $50. Considering that the Baili I ordered, and received, had a tracking number, I think they're full of it.
QShave charged $.33 (thirty-three cents) for ePacket shipping option with tracking, one week to my door (Los Angeles). Razor is $6.98. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
QShave is where this all started in March (the MingShi first surfaced on the boards in January at higher price), people just wanted to see if they could get it cheaper than the $6-$7 this proven vendor was charging, or get it via PayPal rather than credit card. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
First Shave with Ming Shi Nivea Men Face Wash VDH Deluxe Shaving Soap Jayaruh #170 Synthetic Ming Shi Adjustable Rockwell Swedish Stainless CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayer's Lemon WH Aqua Velva Musk AS The VDH Deluxe Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #170 Synthetic brush. I did two passes the Ming Shi Adjustable razor and Rockwell Swedish Stainless blade. It was my first full shave with the Ming Shi. I had always thought the Futur to be a large clunky razor. Maybe I still do, but I was pleased with the MS's performance. I did both passes on 3, and I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
