That is still a good price for this razor. I believe Maggard Razors also has them for around $13.

It might be worth paying the higher price for the faster shipping.

 

Ok, guess I got the first one from "Uncle Ding". It is not the Futur clone, it's a very thinly stamped Superspeed copy, as in the "new" picture. And when I say thin, I mean thin, maybe even lighter than an aluminum handled Tech. Also, even though it says from Malaysia, it's shipped from China. And yes, I requested a refund and if he wants it back, I told him to send me a return shipping label, which likely won't happen. And yeah, after the refund, there will be a "good" review on it. And remember, if he doesn't do a refund, Ebay will after a bit. And also, if that don't work, but that rarely happens, Paypal has a longer period return policy. Most likely will get from Italian Barber when I'm ready.

Is it PIF-able for someone starting out, or is it just a throw away?

If it's useable, maybe we can repurpose them as a newbie give away or as part of a raffle here on TSD.

 

If it's a Nanji, they're usable, but I'd use them as disposable trip razors. Couple of dozen uses, and the doors will pop off.

 

If I used this razor for my first DE wet shaving experience, I might've gone back to the Bic Hybrids, which actually were the best disposables I ever used. But saying that, I am going to use it once, just to say I did. If it is ever PIF'd, the winner is gonna have to sign a disclaimer stating that the PIFer is not responsible for cuts, stitches, skin grafts, etc., just kidding on that one. I started out each DE razor I have with a Lab Blue to get an idea how it'll shave, but not sure how I'm gonna handle this one. Might have to use a milder blade, like an Astra SP or Sputnik. Guess it might be my Saturday Surprise Shave........

Depending on the model of Nanji, some have a nice solid aluminum handle, so keep that for recycling

 

I just took the doors off and spread the ears or what ever they are called farther apart to make them stay on better.

What's the address for the shipper for Uncle Ding - let's find out if these things are all coming from the same place, even if the seller is supposedly in the Philippines/China, etc.
