This ebay seller has several models of Merkur razors listed at crazy cheap prices. http://www.ebay.com/usr/yozos?_trksid=p2047675.l2559
That was a steal. They still have a few of this one left: http://m.ebay.com/itm/Merkur-Razor-Merkur-Safety-Razor-Chrome-Mens-Safety-Shaving-Razors-/311558126823?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20150519202348%26meid%3Dfcf403e80bf243a79eea8980af339d42%26pid%3D100408%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D201550201593&_trksid=p2056116.c100408.m2460 Somebody better hop on that before I decide to buy them too.
Holy mackerel. I just got a 39c, progress and a gold 34c for less than $20 delivered. Let's hope this isn't too good to be true.
This might have been on the the best deals, but look at the info box at the top. Im guessing they discovered the error
I've been doing a bit of digging on the internet to see how this kind of thing is handled, assuming these items were listed at an incorrect price. The seller must sell the item for the price in the transaction at the end of the listing or BIN. If the seller has decided they do not want to sell for that price, that is their problem, too bad. That leaves them with two choices, honor the contract they made to sell for that price or pay what can amount to a severe penalty by refusing to complete the deal. If they choose the latter course they will be charged with a defect mark on their selling record, doesn't take long for those to add up and have the account terminated by eBay plus a fine equal to ten percent of the sale price plus the appropriate feedback and dsr ratings they usually receive from the buyer if the buyer pays for the item and the seller refunds the payment instead of shipping the item. If paid the seller can only cancel the order by refunding the payment and sending the buyer a cancel transaction request, as long as the buyer is not foolish enough to accept the request or ignore it, the ten percent fine applies. If the seller sends me a cancel transaction request, from an ethical point of view, I think I would accept it. Golden rule and all that.
Their negative feedback is horrible. http://m.ebay.com/itm/311558221712?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&_mwBanner=1 Looks like they have a history of selling items they don't have and/or listing items at low prices they don't intend to sell. eBay doesn't need sellers like that. They cancel, I'm going to put the knife in and twist on my review. I encourage you guys to do the same.
A seller that large probably uses auction management software. They might have meant to discount everything by say 10% for fathers day and ended up discounting everything by 90%. (Which seems about right by my math). Or they could have had a database error, disgruntled employee, perhaps their account was hacked. who knows.
