I was thinking the same thing as well.

    That's true. Great point.

They will work. Whatever you do, do not force the handle trying to screw it on. You don't want to damage the threaded stud attached to the razor head.

Up load your photos to photo bucket and link here. That's what I do.

So I need to get the app? Yeah I'm not going to force it. The threads on the head look good not crossed.

You could use your browser. I do use the app. Really any photo hosting service like flickr will work. I'll send you a pm and you can email me the photos and I will post them for you.

Mine came in about the same. Smaller handle wouldn't tighten up. Little gun oil on pipe cleaner, screwed into handle recess, and wrapped around the threads, fixed it right up. No more problems!!! Love this razor.

Gentlemen, my first shave with my new Mongoose using a Kai Captain Titan ProTouch blade, MWF, Silvertip brush and Nivea Post Shave Balm was Fantastic!!! Still have 6 more test blades to try. I Like This Razor!!!

What was your DE of choice before the mongoose?

User globalm over on TSR did a neat write-up of the blades he had tested out in his goose.
    Here are his thoughts;

    "
    Kamisori
Shaves smooth, close and irritation-free. Very forgiving. Little blade feel. Top blade. 10 shaves.

    Feather Pro Super
This has greater blade exposure and it make a difference. Weepers on rough skin. Significant irritation. Lots of blade feel. Bloodbath. Not for me!

    Feather Pro
Smooth, pleasant shave. Good from day one and long lasting. Changed at 15 and felt like it could have gone further.

    Feather Pro Guard
Good blade. 12 shaves. Smooth and close.

    Kai Captain Standard
Smooth shave. A little rough feeling on first shave. Became very smooth after the first 2-3 shaves and continued so. Changed after 12 shaves. Blade is not tugging but has become less effective.

    Kai Captain Titan Mild Protouch
Very smooth but also not very sharp. Discontinue use as it just isn’t removing beard!

    Kai Captain Titan Mild
Better than Protouch - but not much. Hard work to remove beard.

    Kai Captain Sharpblade
Sharper on first shave with a few weepers but no irritation. Settled down a couple of uses and is, for me, indistinguishable from the standard Captain.

My choice lies with any of the Feather Pro, Proguard, Kai Captain Standard, Kai Captain Sharpblade or Kamisori. I believe Kamisori makes it on the VFM front!"

Feather Pro for me, I agree with the reviewer the blade doesn't seem to wear out.

Wow! Cross threading perhaps? Naw cant be. Try cleaning in there and try to get a look inside. Strange my friend really strange... Since I have a pile of tools around here I probably would have already ran a tap in there just because.

Next thing is the hole even deep enough? I'm wondering if this was a " leftover B2 there was a reason.
