It sounds good =) I'm looking forward to trying the Super.

I ordered today after 3 pm so they didn't ship the same day. I will probably have them next week

I think you'll enjoy them. They are my favorite blade in the Mongoose. I'm still trying to tame them in the AlumiGoose

Why do you think the blade differs in the different razors?

The head is the same. Isnt it?

I am not sure. It could be me putting more pressure with the lighter razor.

  8. is the blade sitting in there tightly or is there some space causing it to chatter?

It's in there solid with no chatter. I just feel the Super Pro blade more with the AlumiGoose than my Batch 2 Mongoose. After using the AlumiGoose and Mongoose side by side I would say the AlumiGoose is the more efficient of the 2 razors. In fact the AlumiGoose with a Feather Pro delivers a shave that rivals the Mongoose with a Super Pro in closeness. It could be the differences between a Batch 2 and the newer Batch 3 Mongoose razors. However, in talking with others that own both, my thoughts pretty much mirror theirs. I have used the AlumiGoose and Mongoose for 198 daily shaves since 1/1/2015. If I were buying today, I would pick the AlumiGoose given the price difference, lighter weight and closer shaves. YMMV

  10. That's an interesting observation clint64. Maybe they have tweaked the cutting angle of the b3

I've been rotating the Feather Super Pros, Kai Titan Milds, and my straight razors. Nice variety. Light touch on those Super Pros, as Clint suggests.

There should be a mechanism to strop the Feather blades for the mongoose =P maybe we could get some more life out of them then

  13. I wonder if we could strop these blades on a leather strop? does that work?

    Shave of the day

Pre- Hot shower, Jumping Juniper shampoo cake from Lush

    Soap/cream- Haslinger Schafmilch shave soap

    Brush- Omega S-brush

    Razor- AlumiGoose

    Blade- Feather Artist Club Professional(4)

Post- Cold water rinse, Kueshi Pure&Clean face toner, Monu aftershave Age combat and my The body shop Aloe Soothing night cream

A nice shave this evening/night its 30 minutes past midnight here.

It was a while since I used the Haslinger soap. I was talking to @tuxxdk and I was reminded of the Haslinger soap (it was a gift from him). I recently received a sample of Penguin Bay rum so I thought I would use that too in the shave. I gotta say, it smells very very nice! It feel like It was a little more alcohol sting, but I might be imagining it =P

I got a nice shave. It was the fourth shave on the Feather pro blade and I can already feel its loosing its edge. I want one more shave out of it though! I might have to whip out the MdC or the MWF =P

All in all a close shave with a nice smelling finish =)

My Feather Pro Supers came in today and I really like them. I got an outstanding two pass shave with them with no irritation. This is my blade for the Mongoose.
