I'm quickly coming to the conclusion that we can't agree on what we agree on.

These types of threads always go this way, you just end up with a list of creams than if you haven't tried already, you now must try.

I think it would be a good idea on noticing the creams to avoid. I seem to be able to make any cream work fine. Or a thread on "If you only had one?" if it hasnt been here before? I agree with TOBS, Proraso(A+!), Frasers, Trumpers, and the list goes on. I havent been around long enough to dwell on the bad stuff I have tried. I dont want to ruffle any feathers:( My first real SC was Proraso and still enjoy it!

I was really making a self check on what I suggest to newbies. Looks like I'll shift to the following as good first options:
    1) Proraso if you like or don't mind menthol and Eucalyptus
    2) Kiss My Face
    3) TOBS

I'm tempted to put up a similar soap thread, but after the response here I think I'll pass.

Well if your a European newbie I would go with the Wilkinson Sword blue bowl, if German Rilanja cream. If British Ingrams or the Erasmic bowl.

    All very inexpensive.

+1 for TOBS. Another that I particularly like is MEM but it is not that easy to come by. (Unless, perhaps, you live in Israel. :D)

  16. Best recommendation for New Shaver

The Best way for new shaver to try shaving cream is going the Shave Den Store and try at least dozen shave creams including the The Shave Den shaving cream. Over at the sampling section. That's how I was able to try different brands and choose some of my favorites.

I did something similar, also adding a couple soaps. I also ordered sample packs from Trumpers and T&H. From that I discovered I like rather expensive creams, but most soaps worked great and even a poor soap was better than 80% of creams for me. I still use an occasional cream and that my favorites are just as good as most soaps.

For top creams people need to consult Crackstar.

The man knows every hidden gem.

Almost anything he'll recommend will blow Trumper's, Trufitt and Taylor's straight back to England.
