Well from the first use Mutt is an absolute beast of a brush. I am not surprised at the performance, the custom two band badger is the same knot as the brush in the thread below. http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/imperial-grip-a-prototype.35330/ The handle on this one makes it very easy to wield around the face and head. It produces a lot of lather and the knot is thick and dense. Today's use was a bowl lathering exercise. The first couple of weeks use of most two band badger knots will provide a very soft feel with slight level of scritch but when it breaks in completely the scritch reduces to the point to where it is not noticeable. All in all an excellent brush that I look forward to for some time to come.
Restoration with a custom made two band knot (privately sourced). Both Mutt and Jeff are approximately 65-70 years old. Based upon the coloration of the Lucite and the Acrylic I believe they were made by the same company but I cannot verify.
