winter is my down town which why I'm on much more during this time of year than others. I had too much crap on my sink counter with the brush warmer, scuttle and towel warmer (egg cooker) so I wanted to make a shave shelf/cabinet to clear some space. So a trip to lowes and $20 worth of cedar wood, panel and tack nails I made my new shelf. I'm not a carpenter but I love to work with wood and learn. This isn't to excuse any imperfections just to let you know with basic tools you can make one that looks equally good. The cedar razor rack broke while drilling it but it was the piece of green wood and I wanted to use it so I drilled four holes and glued match sticks inside to use as pegs and I had to put a brace on it which is why it looks a little weird but I'm still very happy with it. My iPad takes photos to large to post so I had to crop them but trust me there's more space on my counter now lol
Very nice! It puts my shelf to shame. If I ever get snowbound this year, I'm building me one of those.
Looks pretty good and saved a lot of space. Might try my hand thanks to your inspiration. Thanks @Ceferguson. ... To be continued... Don
It is the best, my wife bought me a big towel warmer last year for my birthday (http://www.ebay.com/itm/BeautyPro-Hot-Towel-Steamer-Starter-Kit-Hot-Towel-Warmer-/272026121063). Looks like this. Problem is it takes 20 to 30 min th heat towels and to have a hot towel for each pass you go through several towels and it takes up a lot of space and they are cheap made. Read on shave forum someone used egg warmer, so I got one it takes 10 min to get a towel scolding hot plus the time required is determined by how much water you put in. So now one towel and I can put just a little bit of water in after first use and the towel is hot again when I finish the pass and repeat. So egg cooker is smaller and takes up less room, works better for what I want and last longer, oh it's cheaper also like $12 at Walmart. Get a mr coffee Warmer to keep your brush scuttle warm the whole time and you are set up.
