No. It had a strange plastic plug in it, so I left it. I currently have two blue ones and a tan one to do... they seem to be a chippy-prone polycarbonate.

I have two friends that each said they wanted it.

Well I was going to do a restore for a fellow member here, I usually like get warmed up with another brush, so I won't of fell out of practice.

    Here it is .....

    IMG_1406.JPG
It's a Peerless brush that @Rev579 PIFed in a group and that @brit won. He had the group sent to me due to he had me do some work for him and he kindly gave this to me.

The base was badly chipped due to the plastic it was made of, so I set it to the side till I could find a replacement for its base.

Then I found a Century cosmetic brush and decided that would fill the bill.

    IMG_1484.JPG

After removing the knots and joining them with a short piece of 3/4" copper pipe, filling it with epoxy and BB's (for weight). I then dropped in a 22mm Synbad knot.

    IMG_1485.JPG
I believe the top was bakelite or early plastic (1940's early 50's) due to it was very hard and I could only enlarge it (very slightly) with a sanding drum.

A merger between Peerless and Century brush company almost 50 years after their companies closure.

And as alway ........ More to come .............. :D

I made a trade with @Terry and offered my services of a brush restore for a beautiful Gillette Red Tip flare.

He sent me a black Ever Ready 500PBT that he had.
    IMG_1483.JPG

After removing the knot, enlarging the hole, weighting it; I set a 24mm beige synthetic knot from Maggard's.
    IMG_1486.JPG

I didn't give the handle a full polish due that I was concerned I might loose some of the gold plating on the center ring. I thought about taping it, but it would still run a risk.

It would normally have a pure badger knot, but I think it turned out quite classy and is incredibly soft. It has a great weight in the hand.

And as alway ........ More to come .............. :D

When you use a brush like that, do you have to hold your little finger out or is that just for tea? Looks good either way.

A poor little green brush made it to my home from @Dirtfarmer last week. This weekend I had the chance to work on it.

After a good sanding, polishing and boring to accept a 19mm synthetic
    IMG_1495.JPG

After soaking in Teak oil, a coating in Helmsman's, polishing and installing a 19mm synthetic knot.

This will probably go into the 2019 Travelling Box Tour Round Three along with many other goodies.

And as alway ........ More to come .............. :D
