I can see why @jaxstraww is so pleased, Keith. I admire all of them, but, yeah, that Gimbels is now one classy looking brush!
hello Keith @Enrico ..here is the simms..the hair is soft just bent..i may try to bring it back..no breakage..
I've discovered a great way to remove the knots from Omega brushes ..... drill a 1/4 hole through the center of the bottom of the handle then insert a philips screwdriver then hammer down the assembly on a hard surface a couple times and the knot pops out.
very cool.for the 10098 brushes i tape the bottom of the knot close to the undle.,the metal ring pops of with a twist with channel locks, the handle bottom gets popped off(2 piece) then i use a jewellers saw on and diagonally cut a line where the metal ring goes.it pops apart like an old bearing shell and isn't glued in.omegas are the best knot donors..
Well I put the brush to the side due to the finish getting ugly after setting the knot. Well that was over three years ago ..... after finding it in a cigar box last week, I decided to finish it and add it to the Magical Traveling Box Mystery Tour 2021 And as always ...... More to come!
