A couple sad brushes in need of attention. I saw these ..... a bullet shaped Baton #7644 and and hose nozzle style Ever Ready #50; both in need of attention and not in fantastic condition, but I have a weakness for butterscotch and caramel brushes. After removing the old knots and sanding the opening a touch; I set 20mm two banded badger knots in each. Neither are perfect ..... the Baton two vertical cracks (stable) and the Ever Ready just doesn't want to polish up. That said they're up for sale, great for someone that wants a little caramel in their travel set for not a lot of money. And as always ..... more to come.
Being stuck at home, I'm back with three more. An Erskine H-750 I suspect Simpson Classic 1, though its handle is only 35mm tall. A butterscotch Boots, I believe produced by Vulfix. After removing the knots all three had their openings enlarged a little, but the Boots was much more from 18mm to accept a 20mm knot. Lofts were set up to be proper and give nice backbone. Ready for another 50 years of service. And as always ..... more to come.
A few more completed ....... A Culmak 84 A Simpson Commodore X2 A German made Butterscotch. Restore to two banded badger, Ready for many more shaves. And as always ...... more to come.
