Clear that if I had a small chance 'to have these blades would be more' than happy to try ... PS: sorry if sometimes I put a few sentences out of place, clearly will not do it on purpose, and non-English 'my strong ahahahahahah
I hope you all don't mind my "blogging on" about my first run with the Voskhod, but I know there is some interest in this blade and availability is not the easiest at the moment, and wow, what a blade. Shave #5 on the Voshkod today (I won't count the clean-up pass on yesterday's Schick Type B). It was a very expedious 4 pass shave today, not as furiously fast as day 2 but a time-efficient affair. Bottom-line, another really outstanding very-close and comfortable shave. As fine a result as I get from any blade (even my beloved Feathers) and the comfort factor and sense of trustworthiness are top of the heap. I have no sense this blade is "done" so I look forward to using it again tomorrow. Bill
Arizona Dreams, just keep posting, we'll figure it out. No apologies necessary. I just had my ( ? ) 6th or 7th shave with one, and I have to say, it's one of my best. Not the same blade but different soaps, creams, etc. and they are just kicking it big time.
Ciao Arizona Dreams. When I had the privilege to visit your beautiful country my so-called "Italian" consisted of my best French modified as best as I was able (often by adding an "O" to words). Sometimes this worked out, formage became formagio, but at other times I'm sure my attempt to speak "Italian" was laughably bad. But every Italian I met was so nice, welcoming, and forgiving of my terrible Italian. I hope I can be half as gracious to one who speaks far better English that I speak Italian. Bill
Someone needs to order a hundred off that Ebay seller, then sell them to members 5 for $2 or $3. That would cover postage and they could be mailed in an envelope so it wouldn't be a big hassle. I'd do it, but I don't have enough days here/posts.
I wish I at least had a stack of them so I could turn you on to a few so you could try them yourself. I know it must be frustrating to hear how good a blade is and still not want to be into 100 of them without trying one first. At $16 for 100 (and under $22 delivered) these blades are an absolute bargain. Bill
An order of 100 is for my own stash. Greedy pig that I am! But I think I can get some extra ( or sacrifice my own) to divvy out if anyone is interested in trying a blade or two.I am so loving these blades.
Hey, there were 6 when I looked just a little awhile ago. Are you sure you didn't order 3, or have some other lurkers gobbled up a third of the world's supply? Bill
Ah,, that's why I couldn't get the 2 or 3 hundred I wanted. You spoiled my fun and deprived me! OK, now I'm looking for another supply......I WILL corner a third of the market! I've got enough other steel on my shelf to make it sag,, now this. OINK. but really , after tonights shave , third on this blade and my face feels THIS good, I just 'gotta have 'em.
I'll make you a deal. You don't like them and I'll buy 'em off you. Bill (who really should have laid in his own supply before he shot off his mouth )
There are still 200 left There were 4 left when I got mine You know what would be cool? To find out they're fake :happy102
I'm still holding out , against all odds , for a straight I really want. Hey, I'm only human. But I'll get more blades for sure. My reasoning is,, if the weather keeps up like it does, what if I get snowed in and need a blade? Or soap, or creams? I have to be prepared for inclement weather.I could get stranded for almost a day! Can't sit here unshaven can I? I can do without food and water,, but not my shaving stuff. Really,, how uncivilized do you think I am? And I don't care if they are fakes,, I'll still use 'em
