My Voskhods have arrived... sadly I shaved this morning so it's a long wait until tomorrow (or maybe tonight :D )

I started a Voskhod sample yesterday.. It follows a glorious week with a Feather/Hoffritz Slant, so it's a hard act to follow..

Tracking in the SOS forum thread....

How long did they take to arrive compared to the estimated arrival date? My arrival date is end of Feb/first of March. That's a long time to wait!

BTW, I have a Hoffritz Slant coming. Can't wait for that one either!

Mine was a sample.. came from California and took all of a few days..

    Regarding the Slant...

The last week of shaves was as perfect as one could expect.. The Slant is awesome and IMHO no more or less aggressive than other options. Some how it tames a Feather quite well.

I had two Hoffritz Slants.. one got damaged, sadly and it is unusable.. At some point I will replace it. The one I am using is from a Hoffritz travel set but I mate it with various handles.. It works well on the BRW Ultra Lite handle

OK. I ordered one of the 100 packs off Ebay. I think it is coming from Poland.

Great to hear about the slant. And love that black handle. Don't have anything yet from BRW - but that will change soon!

I got my fifth shave with one today and won't be pushing it any further.

The light handle makes for an interesting shave. The weight of the head is all the pressure you need and the handle is almost invisible to the hand.

Bob makes some amazing stuff.. I have a few items..

It's too early for me to review the Voskhod, but two of two days it left me with a few weepers and stubble patches.

That's indeed a long time to wait? Where did you order them from?

Mine took 6 days from the day they were shipped, including a weekend. But I'm in Europe as well so no crossing the ocean for me.

I got mine from that Ebay seller in Latvia that is linked earlier in this thread. My estimated delivery is 2/28 - 3/11.

Me to. And my Order Details states "Estimated delivery: Varies*"
Did you receive a message that the package was sent? I think the best thing to do is send them an email.

Our mailing system is terrible. I sent a package to Europe a good while ago, and it still has not arrived. I am very, very worried. and even angry at our company. :(

It has shipped. I was just wondering if anyone had experience with how long it takes to get to the US. ... I have a tracking number, but I don't see which company they use.

That sucks! Funny how blades are.. My only concern at this point is consistency and your experience could very well mean they have the potential for inconsistency between blades. I'll get to start testing that theory pretty quick.

I guess we shouldn't forget that after all these are just another type of blade and the same rule applys: YMMV.

I heard so much about the Voskhods, but never yet tried them. :)

I can send you a few to try them next time I get to the customs post office... I'm waiting for some ebay items to arrive. Just pm me your address.

From time to time US customs issue an announcement about additional checks of all inbound mail. Latest was issued in December.

I dropped a pack in the mail to you Jeff. They should be there in a week I think.

To everyone: when mailing blades to someone, it is much cheaper to take them out of the box and sandwich them between to thin slices of chip board before putting into an envelope. I can mail 5 to 10 blades CONUS for .88ยข if you put the same pack in an envelope, it crosses the thickness barrier and costs $1.56-ish

I have received some of these blades to try and I LOVE THEM!!!! I am going to place an order as soon as I can. Anybody have any idea on how the Ladas blades behave? I have one that I just got as a sample and I am thinking about trying that one as soon the current Voskhod blade gives out - if it ever does!

The LADAS are okay, but they do not have the Teflon... they are not Voskhod level, but they are okay.
