My fiance has changed razors and blades as I'm sure some of you have noticed. She gave back the Super Speed and thinks now that the personna blades are too sharp.
For me it's my wife. She is standing right behind me. I've read that Gillette Blue tips are good for ladies. Good thread.
Geometry, weight & balance. I was told a plastic handle is light weight, allowing the DE razor to hang head down. This would make ergonomic sense for a Lady shaving low and ATG. A gentleman shaving his face first pass & WTG would mostly position his DE head up, being balanced by a heavier handle. Next chance I get I shall endeavor to put these theories to the test. I just need a Lady volunteer.
@RyX Its not that bad. Easy enough for me to one pass DFS with a shavette no prep and having never done it before. Test on your self. Its just hair it'll grow back.
Lady blue star Gillette for Mrs DT,along with Voskhod blades,TOBS Sandalwood cream, and a synthetic Kent brush. I have her well trained.....
What about a Schick Krona for the razor and Nivea shaving cream and the Plissoft brush. Krona's are nice efficient razor, are easily sourced and are easy to shave with.
Thanks for clarifying. I was starting to think these were the ladies that watched you shave your legs
My wife uses a Lady Gillette blue star handle with GSB blades or a Schick Golden 500 injector with Schick blades and likes them both.
Billy F nailed it.....Lady Eversharp.... Almost NO learning curve....I have used my Hydro-magic on a lady's legs before and was surprised how easy it was....I would have been alot more tentative with a DE.....
Actually, we do. Here it is; http://theshaveden.com/forums/forums/womens-shaving.40/ As for my recommendations, I agree that long handles are generally good, as they enable you to reach your ankles, the back of your calves, etc. And any unscented soap that lathers well should be OK for sensitive skin.
my wife has a blue Lady Gillette DE and a Rubberset 79 badger brush, and enjoys lathering soaps. If shes in a hurry she'll use a cart but she def notices the difference now. and she appreciates how much cheaper it is too! Except she is eyeballing Gingers Gardens soaps lately... i think she's about to develop SAD...
