Well, I just used it this morning and this razor had a much different feel than my other razors. It is definitely more aggressive than I'm used to. I loaded it with a personna blue lab and went to work. The OC certainly feels different on the skin. I watched my angles and took it slowly. It gave a unique feel and not unpleasant at all. At the end of it, I think I can say that that I got a BBS shave with no cuts or nicks and no irritation. I'll be the cleanest shaven man at church this morning. The New just found a place in the rotation because it shaves as good as it looks.
The new variants r wonderful shavers! The long comb is a favorite of mine. Many great shaves left in that one. It's a beauty.
Congrats, @Jim99 ! I hope to find one like that one day. I'm still looking for an open comb I like. I tried the Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Double Open Comb (a beautiful razor) but it hurt to use, even with a super shallow angle. I'm hoping that isn't the norm for open comb.
I was very happy with the shave. The open comb felt a little different since I've never used one before. I took it slowly with just one pass wtg and one xtg. The shave was excellent and no nicks. It's definitely worthwhile to find one.
