Idk what it or they were. Everything was wet, my hands stunk for days!

Box arrived today. I should have time this weekend to dive into it.

Looks like the same cardboard USPS box has been used multiple times. The flat rate boxes are free at the post office so no need to reuse one until it's falling apart.

No smells on the outside so I'm guessing the contents are intact.

Well I know it was a brand new box when I sent it out. :)

:happy097: I even beefed it up with stranded tape.

I can’t remember if this is the original or second plywood liner. I seem to recall @Joewa redoing the liner. It sure helps to protect the contents.

My plan was to wait until the weekend but I already opened it and claimed an awesome scuttle.

    Enjoy yourself John.

I didn't think that scuttle would travel very far lol!

Here's the contents as it arrived minus a Stirling Baker Street Eau de Toilette sample that I forgot I'd already pulled out yesterday to try.

    Brushes, some for restoration
Cases, one with a Valet razor, a couple for restoration
Lots of small samplers (including one I put in last year so I'm taking it back since it's been around the horn)
Several large samplers and nearly full pucks/tubes
    An assortment of blades
    Aftershaves and astringent
    Several razors and razor parts
and an assortment of miscellaneous items

Here's what I'm shaving with this morning:

Scuttle (the one in the previous picture, not Fred)
    Maggard MR8
    Tatra Platinum
    LASS Black Rose
    Captain's Choice Nor'easter
    and maybe the red glasses

No. The first photograph is the entire contents of the box as it arrived. Minus a Stirling Baker Street Eau de Toilette sample that I pulled out to try and I forgot to include it in the photograph.
I thought some of the earlier box recipients might like to see how the contents have changed since they had it.

Sorry if your comment was meant to be humorous. I thought you were being serious.

Nice shave yesterday with the Maggard MR8 and the Tatra Platinum.
Easily the heaviest DE razor I've ever shaved with.
The scuttle is definitely going onto my "take" list and probably the MR8 as well (at least until the next box tour).
I'll probably leave the rest of the Tatra blades for others to try but eventually I'll need to add a tuck to my collection.
The LASS Black Rose performed very well but it confirmed what I have thought when considering it in the past. I like the scent but it's just not strong enough. For the past several months I have been enjoying LASS Black Fern (soap and a/s both). Black Fern has a great scent (to my nose) and the soap scent stays with you the entire shave. With Black Rose the scent had faded by the second pass.

I've sampled the Burberry Body and the Stirling Baker Street colognes. Both are nice but just average for me. I'm more of an aftershave guy than a cologne guy so they will stay in the box.

I've had everything laid out and separated since Thursday night so the leftover smell of whatever spilled on the trip to @Old School has faded quite a bit from when I first opened the box. I'm making sure all of the lids/caps are tight and taped and I replaced all of the Ziploc bags. To my nose the box smelled mostly like the Veg when I first opened it so that may have been the culprit. Fortunately everyone loves the Veg.

I also tried to repair one of the SE razors. The cap was bent and had popped off. I was able to straighten it and get it back together but I'm kind of a hack fixing things sometimes so it probably needs a more skilled hand.

I suspect the MR8 Heavy is going to be a frequent flyer finding a new home each time the box goes on tour.

Get some Stoylin(Stirling)hand-soap, that oughta take care of it.

Y'know, I'm finding it's harder to apply cologne in the winter than during other seasons-all the skin locations are covered for warmth.

I work as maintenance for a non-profit org, so that means I do a little of everything. I spritz my head, neck and wrist; it sticks with me even when I do work outside.
