I'm still in – believe it or not – from NB' 16 My last purchase I think was a couple of knots for some handle restores in late '15. I've been tempted more than a few times but am ultimately having fun using up my dwindling stockpile.
Checking in. My last purchase of aftershave was in August. No temptations for buying anything so far in 2017. I think the key for me is to simply stop looking.
Still in -- and far enough along in the year to have finished off a few tubes, tubs & bottles. It's been fun to focus on what I have instead of deciding what to get next.
Good to see many of you are hanging in there. I finished out NB '16. I've done some selective buying this year so far (balanced by some PIFs to a friend that I discovered is now traditional shaving) -Delta Echo Slim Replate -Old Type -A few blade samples from tryablade.com -2 Custom Brush Handles -3 new Synthetic knots -3 soap samples -1 full tub of soap -A couple of aftershaves I still need to decide on how to replate my Fatboy, and I could still use a couple more aftershaves. No more soap for a while though...
Well...I broke down and purchased 100 Polsilver SI blades.... They were offered on another Forum's B/S/T and with all of the talk of discontinuation of the product, and that I really like these blades I broke down. I fall on my knees before the court of TSD opinion...
I'll vote to give you a pass on it. They're consumables and you will need to buy more blades at some point.
I realize I am long out, and may possibly set a record for the farthest, hardest out possible, but I have to vote consumable, and still in.
